How to set hotkeys?

Im feeling this will boost my game… but i have no clue where to get hotkeys.txt or create one any help?

I want inv space to be controlled by (alt+Q/W/E/A/S/D)

What i’m talking about is controlling multiple groups of units by pressing CTRL+ any number gives you one group.

The only way to set up specific hot keys like you’re talking about is to have a gaming keypad like the Razer Tartarus. With it, you can set it up however you want outside of warcaft 3. There is no way currently that i know about to make hotkeys in warcraft 3.

Start game > press ESC > Options > Input > Preset Keybinding

You can not configure the keys ingame, there is no UserInterface for that.
You can choose between standard layout, a predefined grid and customkeys.txt (location is shown there)

Creating a customkeys.txt is not that simple. You can download one, or maybe get a tool to create it.

I dont know how to set keys for inventory, its not part of the customkeys.txt

google customkeys.txt for wc3 and you should immediately find it and copy it to your files. its super easy to use and do.

I use a multi button mouse for hero items

with alt + Q you colide with close game. crtl probably has less problems.
You can do that with GridLayout. open the file “user\Documents\Warcraft III\War3Preferences.txt”
The Hotkeys are Virtual-Key Codes in decimal

Then find and update:
