This forum works on a “Trust Level System”. People who aren’t active or who have been given punishments have lesser abilities when it comes to things like links. There are 3 levels, with more liberties given the higher your level is. There is currently no way to check your level other than through experimentation.
Here is a table that shows an approximation of the things you need to do to reach higher levels, though the numbers are not really accurate.

So yes, this means that if you stick around long enough, make enough posts and so on, you’ll be able to put links anywhere. Assuming you don’t break the rules. And if you do break the rules, you won’t be around here any longer so that problem solves itself.
