I haven’t played much of this genre, but tutorials for these types of games say to move the mouse cursor to the edge of the screen to move the camera. I have seen gameplay of other people on youtube and I don’t see people doing this I think which made me think how they are moving the camera? I typically hold the middle mouse button and drag to move the camera. How do people move the camera in Starcraft also?
I usually use the edges of the screen or the arrow keys. You can also do it by clicking the minimap.
Edgepan, just move your mouse to the side of the screen and it will move. If you need to travel long distances just click on the minimap, also, as someone said you can use arrow keys although I wouldn’t recommend getting used to that one.
If you find moving to the sides too “slow” increase your mouse DPI to 1000-2000 (any value in between is fine), <1000 DPI is only reserved really for shooters where you need precision.
