High Elf / Blood Elf Feedback

Hey folks :raising_hand_man:t2:

I would ask for some model changes

The last days I was exploring the Beta-Editor and I found some High/Blood Elf units and buildings. The most of them I liked a lot. But I spottet some little lore-wise problems which occur on some models.

On some High Elf models are some green crystals, they should only be added to Blood Elves. And otherwise some Blood Elf models with blue crystals, which also only be added to High Elves.

The High Elves are used to be consuming the energies of the Sun Well. Recognizable by the blue eyes, the blue crystals and of course the iconic golden, silver, white and blue armor or building ornaments

The Blood Elves on the other hand are used to be consuming other, wild energies and rarely even fel magic causing to the destruction of the Sun Well. Recognizable by their green eyes, green crystals and especially the blood-red, golden, and sometimes purple armor and structure details.

I don‘t know if It is planned to enable the option to swap between to models like the priest, sorceress, steam tank, catapult or ballista like in classic. But until now it wasn‘t.

I don‘t want to see the untouched Quel‘thalas with blue and green eyes and crystals or some red armors, golden armors, silver armors… thats not a rainbow.

And also no Blood Elf campaign with blue eyes or blue crystals and…

Actually the melee Dragonhawk is a High Elf. It should also be a Blood Elf like before.

And I don‘t know if there are any plans of revisiting the destroyed Quel‘thalas with the defiled well… then you are maybe allowed to use green and red If enough time has passed  … if not. Still blue and gold with burned buildings.

And as an excuse… you made the decision of two different but same elven races with two different color palettes in 2002. Now you have to be loyal to your chosen path.

And I have no idea of if this was your intention, or you missed something, or if I get something wrong. I can only refer to WC3 and WoW where their appearance was like I explained earlier.

And even further. Please add a (nearly) complete tech-tree. I don‘t want to see human buildings in Quel‘thalas or even in the Blood Elven campaign until they left the alliance. And even a new announcer and GUI would be nice.

Edit: Also a nice addition could be a High Elf Spellbreaker, maybe a Hawkstrider Knight and definitely these Arcane-Guardians and Ballistas inspired by Wow.

And when you are already there… complete the Naga tech-tree too  … and the Outland Fel Horde buildings. And replace the Koto and Red Dragons. They make no sense at all in the Outland. Maybe a large ‚Chaos Boar Rider‘ and a ‚Nether Dragon Rider‘. That would be nice :upside_down_face:

So. Im finished. Sorry for stealing your time.
Have a nice day

I agree, High Elves colors are blue/white.

Blood Elves colors are red/green.

they can fix that by setting one color for reign of chaos and another for the frozen throne.

Yeah I think so too.
In regin of chaos they all were high elves and in frozen throne expansion, they became blood elves.
The Dragonhawk rider was also a Helf in the first game and became Blood Elf Dragonhawk later in the 2nd game.
Same goes with for an example colours on specific units such as;
Priests had silver/white aswell did Sorceress on base colour parts on themselves (robe, sleeves etc), in the expansion they will change to red and even black.

So I think there will be High Elf constructions, tints, units, iconic blue eyes and in their own playable chapter, they will become blood elves.
Do not worry :slightly_smiling_face:

For Quel’thalas!

They should be removed. Or at the very least should be fat and have zits.

Hey mate, I agree that It doesnt make any sense for High elves to wear “blood elf colors” considering for some time during W3 thay dont exist yet. Its important to players.
