Undead build
DreadLord + Mass of Ghouls + mass of Necromancer + 4 Meat Wagon (to create corps)
I dont know how to win this build with any class, because there are so many units, Undead create so many units in a little time with this build.
If I use the works from NE, it isnt enought, because the necro make more units, and Undead stay with too many ghouls, and dreadlord using all the time sleep in my hero.
I want to know how to counter this with every class.
OBS: If I focus on the damage in the necro, the Meat Wagon destroy my base, if I focus on the Meat Wagon as in this video, the necromance stay free to make units.

in most cases this is a timing issue. if undead is going necros w/ wagon then you are giving them far too much time. if your playing elf you can probably mass tier 1 rush with some glaives or even aps before they get necros ready. at pro level necro is not a common strategy for undead because they have better units that are harder to counter
after watching the video I see you went orc, the ud base had horrible defenses yet you chose not to make any grunts for early game pressure… you didnt make any walkers for disenchant, and you only made 4-5 windriders by the 10 minute mark so yea, work on making better units faster

like breezerHOG said, get working on your timming. if your enemy is getting ahead of you, there won’t be any chance where you can defeat him later.

People will tell you to counter it with dispel, but that doesn’t work tbh. This is one of many strategies that usually cannot be stopped once it is up and running.
You have to harass, take away creep camps or out-expo him during the time when he is making necrowagons. I know this “don’t let him get there” kind of advice sounds unhelpful, but it really is a thing lol. It’s called “timing” and “pressure”.
Your situation is also not the most extreme. One day you will face 100 food griffins with inner fire and ask how do you beat that as orc? There is no way. Even bats don’t work if they spread. Not even pros like grubby or lyn can “counter” 100 food griffins - they simply don’t let the game go there. Same goes for necrowagons.
there’s lots of obvious responses from lower level players here that do not know what they’re talking about…i can tell because a good player isn’t gonna tell you to “get good”. this is a complex opening from undead on certain maps and even at high level ladder play gives really top players a hard time.
a couple people directing you to other online tutorials and streams are correct - the best way to execute a way to stop this is to learn it from watching it done by higher lvl elves.
I am a top lvl USeast 1v1 player with a 90% win rate, and I can give you some tips or a couple options:
Don’t rush yourself - give yourself a strong opening and get your hero to a decent level before you push anything.
Have a couple scout wisps, one extra one for the expansion you suspect the dreadlord of taking - the wisp detonate must land on the Essence of Blight by the dreadlord creeping IMMEDIATELY, or he can get 2 towers up before you can respond…and then it forces you to change your own opening to an expansion yourself… you never want undead to have a base up on you.
if you decide to push the expansion with some sort of all in timing, you have to bring wisps for skellies, and possibly drain on DL sleeps…people suggesting to attack your own hero are correct that it wakes up your dh or keeper/whatever…but remember this is a timing that you have to hit likely before you have hunts…archers are being microed intensively against ghouls and skellies, and they have a very slow attack speed, so it’s not always realistic to do this…sometimes a wisp detonate does the job better.
the last tip i’ll give you is that if you manage to get a detonate to cancel the Essence of blight and therefore keep the undead from getting the two towers up, you probably have time to creep a mercenary camp…that troll priest will likely win you the battle and the dispel on sleep is the most reliable counter if you have a demon hunter opener.
These forums used to be great for discussion and tips back in like 2005-6-10…but battle.net isn’t the same as it used to be…that’s across pretty much all franchises.
streams, warcraft 3 sites and youtube guides are your best bet
If the map has a Tavern then maybe Dark Ranger would be a strong choice? Can Silence the Necromancers, stopping them from casting their raise skeleton. The UD would need devour magic or some other dispell to unsilenced them, which they might not have.
Surely one counters that with Flying Machines? At least that was the take from that old “how to stop mass flying machines” topic.
Because the person who started the topic plays Orc so has access to none of those…
If the Blademaster is level 6 then I would imagine Blademaster is a pretty good counter. Engauge with main army. Wind Walk the Blademaster into the Necromancers, pop illusions (for distraction) and instantly hit Bladestorm. He will have to split up the Necromancers or risk losing them which leaves them vulnerable and buys your army time to deal some damage.
Another approach is to force a battle before the UD gets to the base. Raising skeletons is mana intensive, hence once started it is pretty much an all in strategy unless there is a mana well. If the skeletons get raised too early, they will reach the base with limited time remaining and so be ineffective.
The quote says not even pros can counter it. It did not mention that said pros playing as Orc could not counter it, just pros in general could not counter it. I am pretty sure a pro playing as Human could just spam mass Flying Machines to counter it. In any case this is off topic.
I would imagine Taurens and Spirit Walkers might be reasonably effective. Between Spirit Walker Disenchant, Taurens having Pulverize and Spirit Walkers being able to resurrect Taurens it is bound to be reasonably effective. However both of these are late game units with late game technologies so might not be viable.
The part with " If i use the works from NE" confused me. However the UD had very bad building placement, Grunt/raider pressure would’ve won way before necrowagon critical mass… worst case scenario you pop up some shamans and use lightning shield on your units and shove them in his army… or disenchant… or SH with heal and wards and focus necros should they already appear on the battlefield. Or Wyverns and focus necros… but usually raider/grunt should be enough as you can ensnare the necros one by one as they come to the army…
