This pretty much confirms it, yeah. You can clearly see the brush strokes, especially on the trees. Insane that Blizzard has fallen so low as to use this level of cheap scamming on its userbase.

Pfft, imagine if they’d taken the time to do something like this in-house instead of outsourcing the art to some random studio overseas that ended up producing the most uncanny mobile game ad feeling models ever put into a blizzard game.

So, they make conceptional art to tease us with and then just leave it as it was. It feels bad man, it feels like 2020 where a game called Reforged came out teasing us with interessting looking screenshots that did not resemble the ingame art.

There are ai upscalers/filters that provide cartoonic styles. They have 100% used it here seeing the inconsistencies and how things melt together and lack of perspectives.

yes, there is only a skeleton crew of dev team working on classic game rn, but false marketing is a seperate thing and must be held accountable

No such suit would ever succeed. If they want to destroy something they created, they can do that. Otherwise we’d be able to sue every live service game for shutting down. And so far, nobody’s done that. If you’re in America, you can basically sue anyone for anything at anytime, but it doesn’t mean you’ll win.
Regardless, that’s not what’s happening here. Unless you’re on a Mac (hope that gets fixed), this patch is the best thing to happen to the game in the last 5 years. Nothing is being destroyed.

I remember they also put some Warcraft 3 units to Starcraft2 editor maybe instead of making new model entirely they can just use those model instead if their recent policy so focus on saving money at least those model seem very detail enough while stay true to original silhouette. (Even so I still expect options to keep the new reforge style model since IMO didn’t look that bad but their visual just clash overall environment it would work if the game have darker tone of shader and less cartoony environment texture)
