Every time I start the game my graphics settings reset back to default 1280x720 resolution and low settings. When I set them back to high and 2560x1440 and click Save it doesn’t persist when I restart the game.
I even reinstalled Windows 11 just to be sure. My graphics card is an AMD Radeon RX 6800.

The game folder in your Documents folder may be set to Read Only. Right click on the Warcraft III folder in your Documents folder, click Properties, and make sure Read Only isn’t checked then click OK.
This most commonly happens because the game can’t create or write to the war3preferences.txt file.

It’s odd that War3Preferences.txt already was not marked as Read-only. But I just unchecked it on the Warcraft III folder anyway and that solved the issue.
Yeah, I’m not sure how this happens so often but it’s a pretty common issue. Most people I know don’t go and deliberately make the docs folder or this game folder read only so I’m really not sure how it happens so often.
