Goals and Scope of Warcraft RTS Team

It was nice to see Brad Chan introduce himself at the 30th anniversary event and share his missions statement about fixing what’s broken. But a few months later, that’s the last we’ve heard from him and his team beyond some patch notes in WC1, WC2, and WC3. No statements, no interviews, and no notes that focus on the long term plan here.

I’m not expecting a response but I just wanted to say that I’d be a lot more interested in these updates if I knew where they were headed. The initial WC3R 2.0 and WC1 and WC2 Remastered announcements seemed like they’d been at least a little rushed ahead to be ready for sale in time for the anniversary stream. Obviously there have been a lot of hotfixes, some feature updates, and balance patches for WC2R and WC3R. But what else can be expected?

Primarily I’d like to know if “fixing what’s broken” extends to the WC3R campaigns and also the extent of cosmetics like hero skins. I’ll just leave this here.

I hope they spend some time making replays and the replay files more interesting!

I would like to believe that Blizzard will take on the task of “fixing what is broken,” especially in the campaign, since it is the companies that need to be improved. However, hoping for Blizzard is probably stupid.

I wish they wouldn’t wait for an entire “season” to fix things that need fixing.
