Give us back Warcraft 3 Classic

So, can we just have Warcraft 3 Classic back ? okay like, you guys win, Reforged and Classic should not be crossplayable.

We should have access to both when we buy Reforged from battle.net.

Just don’t force upgrade classic to reforged. keep battle.net 1.0 alive, keep it running and since the underline features can be added for both. just keep the servers apart and whoever wants to play on whichever can just play it.

Classic has its features and flaws, So does Reforged, let us choose which we want.

  • region lock at playing in Reforged ? or merged regions in Classic.
  • Old Lan and Clan and ladder vs New battlenet 2.0

many more examples can be given.

Please give us back Warcraft 3 Classic. :frowning:

The community understands the benefits and flaws of playing on both we can make decisions on a daily basis on which we want to play. i don’t have any hopes of you being able to fix how Reforged SD mode looks. and i don’t even like being force upgraded 30 GB of an update that took away just as much options we call features, then it provided us with new ones.

You already try to sell Classic Wc3 as an inferior product. please just give us back Warcraft 3 classic at its hight, with its old background and menus, with its own campaign backgrounds and its own built in UI for itself.

Don’t force Reforged to be able to give us what Classic had. the players themself can think on their own and play Reforged and Classic whenever they choose.

Keep balancing and the WE changes that are made to both clients, and it would be perfectly fine as it is. please do this. please please please big Blue i beg you.

You can say this might split the community, but what are you forcing upon us is splitting the community even more, and splitting set aside is low key making people abandon the game entirely.

Give us back wc3 classic. Reforged for Reforged, Classic for Classic. Battlenet 1.0 Battlenet 2.0. what you’re doing now will make this game a memory of this past in the span of 1 year as its slowly forgotten.

Even if the old battle.net has to go - I can understand the reasons why, but why they took away our classic offline client - it’s just beyond my understanding

Atleast turn them on until they fix this mess.

Why not let us keep both clients.

yeah i’m fine with that, that’s literally my wish with my original post.

Wont happen. You should be worried about classic graphics on reforged not looking the same as classic. Washed out colors etc. Instead you are wishing for things that will never happen.

Go there; follow instructions, save backup.

I doubt they are willing to maintain two separate system. They didn’t with SCR so that’s the model they are likely going with.

I mean the hardware, the stuff on their end. That’s what they aren’t likely to support while a duplicate system runs right beside it. Many of the same things were said about SCR when it released and Bliz hasn’t caved.

If they ever do Diablo 3, it will likely go the same route as WC3R and SCR.

Oh! Well that can still be done. There’s a number of posts sprinkled around about simply installing a pre-Reforged version and not letting it self update to Reforged. I was able to do it with v1.30.

First post here as I’ve been hearing the rumors about Classic. I have the original CDs and registered the keys with Battle Net a long time ago to be able to patch the client and work with current machines.

If I try to start up WC3 using the shortcut to the .exe file, will it force the “upgrade” on me? From what I read, multiplayer games online are not supported any more which I’m not worried about as I only play the game on LAN with my kids.

Reports are indicating that it will, however, you can try two things:

  1. Make a shortcut to the exe and in the command line, add “-launch” (without the quotes) to the end of it. I don’t know if that will work as far back as the original CDs. If not,
  1. Disable the ethernet before launching so that it can’t check for updates. You can try turning it back on once in the game, but I don’t know what it will do. Hopefully nothing!

lols u cant even download it on the blizz site now
after reading all this i wanted to play some classic legion td again, but nooo :frowning:
what was the latest patch? i have installers for 1.27 on old hdd

Right. Naturally, Bliz is going to only have the latest version available.

1.32 is current iirc. I’ve been using 1.30. I saw a few people say that 1.27 is a good one since it doesn’t have any of the Reforged preparation changes in it (whereas 1.30 and 1.32 do have some changes).

Know that you won’t be able to play online. As soon as you connect to Battlenet, it will update to the current version.

k thanks…
hmm does garena or some stuff like that still work? or something new simular

Not sure. I’ve only played the prologue campaign to see if it would let me. Since then, I haven’t been back to it.

Why GOD, WHY DO I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD 30 GB OF CRAP, TO PLAY MY BELOVED OLD WC3.

I don’t see the option to play classic anymore in my blizzard app, where do I go? Or do they need to restore it?

You guys have the solution here OMG! I can go back to Classic TFT now. Everyone Come read! :D :) - #76 by DarkMagician-1749

You just need to download the PTR version and done.
Do it as soon as possible before they delete the PTR client.

That’s not a solution though, we need the actual classic client brought back and kept updated alongside Reforged.

i’m more then sure Editor improvements can still be added to classic alongside balancing. so Reforged can be as it is, Classic as it is.

no harm done.
