Gargoyle targeting priority: PLEASE FIX

Please change gargoyles to prioritize targeting air units over ground units. Air to air combat is what gargoyles are built for. Shouldn’t a unit lead with their strongest attack? You don’t see flying machines dropping mines instead of attacking other air units.

Hippogryphs are so much more practical & effective for this reason, it feels arbitrary but it’s quite impactful.

yea i cant believe this still isnt fixed.
gargs should always prioritize air units when attack moving.

I would honestly trade gargoyles not being able to even attack ground units at all, maybe if that was a feature you could somehow turn off.

This must get fixed! We were promised this fix with Reforge release already! Where is it? Gargoyles are completely unable to be played as anti-air against a competent player. While you have to shift-attack click on air units just so Gargs don’t attack ground, the enemy just has to pull that 1 air unit which is getting attack back. Suddenly all Gargoyles follow that 1 unit and get killed off while the rest attacks them with 0 retaliation.

I was quite shocked when I recently played NE and found out that they prefer air-to-air combat. Didn’t even think that’s a thing :smiley:

Gargs definitely need this priority, too
