i downloaded and updated the new patch this morning, i played fine afterward, but now when i try to get in game it tells me to update and download new patch, but there is no option to do so because i have already downloaded and updated
Hey there! It sounds like there may be some corrupted or damaged Battle.net files preventing your game client from updating. Try clearing out any cached Battle.net files using the instructions here and here.
If that doesn’t do the trick, we will want to run a Scan and Repair of your installation to ensure none of your game files are corrupt and to allow the installer to resolve any issues.
Let us know how it goes!
My game still won’t launch. I bought it months before the new stuff came out and was playing it. When the new content came out it now says my vpn is keeping it from running. I don’t have a vpn and all of my other blizzard games play just fine. I do play on Linux, but all my games run without errors except this one. Scan and Repair found nothing. I even uninstalled and reinstalled.
Your issue doesn’t sound similar to this one which is six years old- be sure to check the dates on posts before replying to them. A many years old post is not likely to be about the same issue as you. i’d suggest you post your own thread and try to expand on as many details as possible.
If you get a message about checking your VPN this indicates an issue establishing a secure connection with the game server. There are multiple possible reasons for this, some related to trying to play on Linux or a Steam Deck, so when you create your thread, you may want to include more specific details about your environment and PC specifications.
Your posting a reply that is 6 years later.
This issue is different, while still might feel similar. All you would be doing is causing a necro tread is confusing under the impression that the problem 6 years ago is having the same issue now, many patches have come through since then, 3.0 is having its own set of issues, please don;t confuse them and they not fix the current issues.
