When I open the game it first shows the Lion door, and then it goes all black with the hand cursor, and it stays there. I can never play. I have recently bought the game and the first day it worked fine, but now I cant play. Please help.
Hello, this forum section is for discussion relating to the Public Test Realm (PTR). For technical issues, your best bet is to contact Blizzard Support and if they can’t help you, to post in the Technical Support section of the forum.
If you search that section, you may also find other people with similar issues who have a solution. In your case, if the game worked initially, then there’s a few possibilities.
- a bad Windows update or driver update negatively impacted game compatibility. If you installed any new software or did any updates on your PC, try reversing those actions.
- your user data could have somehow gotten corrupted. Go to your My Documents folder, and look for the Warcraft III folder within it. Make a backup copy somewhere, and then delete it. This can resolve a few different issues.
- check if you can get to the main menu without an internet connection. If you can, that may indicate some type of network problem, either a bad route to the server or some other setting changing or connecting via a different network. If you have access to one, you can try using a VPN.
