How do I play w3 frozen throne?

Even if you could install Frozen Throne, then Battle.net Launcher agent would most likely delete it instantly without asking you if you have the automatic updates enabled. I made this mistake on my laptop a few weeks ago. I was helping a friend compare between the Frozen Throne and the Reforged game clients. He realized that on the Reforged game client, an ability created in the Ability Editor in the World Editor cannot have more than one Requirement item. Items beyond the first will be visible but the ability will unlock without them. So I played a map on the Frozen Throne and I saw that it did not have this problem, and then I wanted to compare with Reforged on this old laptop. I thought that the old laptop already had Reforged but I was actually remembering playing Reforged Beta on this laptop (I had not used it for a year I guess).
So I went to open the Battle.net Launcher to run the Reforged game, but it was not installed, so the Battle.net Launcher deleted the Frozen Throne and the Frozen Throne PTR game versions off of the computer before I remembered to realize what it was doing. Then, I realized the computer only had 10 GB of hard drive space remaining, so after a while I realized that the download was going to stop in the middle and crash anyway, and that was when I realized I couldn’t go back to play the Frozen Throne since the automatic update had already deleted it.
If you want to play the version of the game with the towering icy Frozen Throne menu background after the game starts up, if that is what you mean when you say Frozen Throne, you need to be not using the most recent version of the game, and when it asks you to update, you will need to not update. However if you want to play Frozen Throne custom maps or games online with friends, then you should play on the game version that has internet available that is the only version of Warcraft III available from Blizzard Entertainment at this time. This new version, which is the only version, is the Patch 1.32 game where the main menu screen is a web page thing with a flag and water falling and the chat box that is always online in the lower right hand corner, and there is a “Collections” tab on the menu. This version, which is the Frozen Throne Patch 1.32, has increased the game installation size from 1 GB to roughly 30 GB and it is the only version available for play. If you did not purchase the Reforged assets, they will download anyway and simply not be used, so that your game is the same version as the friends you play with online and that way there will be less likelihood of desyncs like there would be if your version did not have those assets.
