When somewhere someone tell me thing like WHEN WIND CHANGE SO DO DIRECTION OF BRANCHES ON TREES.
So very same thing is how I Make Thoughts On Warcraft, When Battle.Net Make Change.
We Know Battle.Net make PATCH:1.31 NOW and if u see on top of page many things saying about 1.31 patch.
BUT WHEN BATTLE.NET MAKE CHANGE TO THIS GAME MY THOUGHT CHANGE TOO.
I SAY BEFORE I PLAY NIGHT ELF NOW I PLAY ORC, AND MANY THINGS NEW. BUT ALSO THINGS CAN BE NEW.
Big Problem Now: I see all Race:Undead, Night Elf, Human Have Unit:AIRCRAFT. undead have frost wyvern. Night Elf have Unit: “Chimieara”. human have WIND GRYPHON. But only Orc have unit: Normal Wyvern
So i decide I must Look at Normal Wyvern, and Also Look at FROST Wyvern, and to see what is different.
Frost Wyvern - Do More attack to enemy
Orc Wyvern- Do Less Attack, But Sometimes More.
Frost Wyvern - Always Have Tons Of Life
Normal Wyvern - Have Maybe Halve of Life.
Frost Wyvern - Is Big and Has BREATH: COLD. COLD BREATH MAKE ENEMY GO SLOWER AND ALSO ATTACK TOO.
ORC WYVERN HAVE ONLY THING “HARD ARROW” WHICH MAKE OTHER UNIT HAVE LESS ARMOR.
SO MAYBE WE TELL BATTLE.NET WHY THEY CAN MAKE CHANGE FOR LATER?
MAKE ORC WYVERN IS NORMAL LIKE FROST WYVERN
HAHA ok guys Serious Post today, later talk more
Bat Riders are a thing you know.
very powerful in 2v2 to 4v4 team games…
not soo much in 1v1.
I thought Flying Machines made Frost Wyrms pointless in UvH since their AoE obliterated them…
Dude if you want to slow your enemies using wyverns, just research envenomed spears in beastiary.
in my opinion night elves and undead have strong air units, but humans and orcs have counters to air units. i mean humans have dragonhawks and orcs have batriders. that means that one race could be strong with a very op air unit but another race can find a strategy to counter it
as a human player I always thought frostwyrms were weak and I always felt like I would win easier anytime I saw an undead getting them. Undead really does better with early destroyers imo, although destroyers have recently been nerfed so things are changing… but wyrms are so costly that you should be able to win before ud gets them
Frost wyrms just die to archers / rifles / fiends / headhunters. Their splash damage can’t keep up with even mildly unclumped medium ranged units who have massive damage/ehp advantages due to armor/weapon types. Its pretty sad to watch someone build 3/3 frost wyrms in 4v4 RT and lose them in combat to a handful of spammed tier 1 archers.
if anything, flying machines are weakest against frost wyrms of all air because they have such high hp pools and low unit counts, so their aoe flak damage doesn’t multiply their dps. You can take a modest ball of flying machine and kill an infinite amount of hippogryphs or gargoyles because of the splash damage, but wyrms can generally fight their way through them. They’ll still lose when more resources are invested or its a big clump vs clump so flak cannon works, but its gyros worst air matchup (besides bats)
Gyros have 4255 EHPDPS/Food^2 in Air to Air compared to 1395 on Frost Wyrms, but that’s a bit harder to compare since 8 food of gyros would cost 800 gold / 240 lumber. So in terms of EHPDPS/Gold^2, its 0.426 vs 0.461- wyrms are giving you more EHP & DPS per gold spent in air to air. And they deal the same 200% damage to each other.
But then you look at frost wyrms trying to fight archers. Wyrms and Archers cost similar resources per food, and Wyrms have 1611 EHPDPS vs ground while Archers have 1532 EHPDPS. Only a slight upgrade to overall EHP/DPS per resources invested for a T3 unit. But then you factor in damage types and elunes grace- pierce deals 200% to light, magic deals 60% after elune’s grace. So a 3.33x effectiveness multiplier. Essentially making archers 3.17x as efficient per food in a fight, something splash damage & cold attack can’t compensate for
All that fancy math aside, the point is, you can build big dumb frost wyrms in a 1v1 or 4v4, it doesn’t matter, they’re terrible, they get destroyed by tier 1 ranged units and specialized higher tier anti-air units alike, and still can’t attack dryads/breakers/dragons, and deal terrible damage vs giants and fortified buildings and tanks, and the only thing they’re actually good at killing is heavy melee units. Which are terrible. You can focus heroes with slow which is nice to keep 1 wyrm around, but not a bunch of them.

I like this guy.
Could use a little more all caps and a little less coherence.
Frost are supposed to be that OP, and I’m not even an UD player. All you have to do is win before he masses them, which is easier than waiting until he masses frost. Get it boi?
