Fps drop not fixed since 1.33

The same problem plagues my setup after the last 2 patches. From what I could verify with Afterburner active is that the problem affects both graphics: in classic mode graphics the video card remains practically unused causing a strong instability on the fps and making the game jerky and unplayable in most cases. part of the cases, not to mention the feeling of “heaviness” when using the mouse during the game. In Reforged mode where the video card seems to be used by the game but he fps drop from 200 to 50 or 60 or 70, depend: the game is playble but not everytime.

Nvidia driver settings are set to best:

CPU: 5800x3D
GPU: RTX 4090 with last drives version
RAM: 64 GB
Storage: M.2 Samsung 990 PRO
Monitor: Asus 27’ QHD 240hz
Internet connection: Fiber 2.5Gb
Windows 11 PRO
Gaming Mode: Warcraft 3 Reforged classic grafics mode

Is a patch problem! They must to fix it please! I am available for any test and to send any file requested to help you solve this crap!

To post links use the code tags. then it can be easily copy pasted.

Do not use mediafire, use pastebin.

It’s not really a graphics issue at all. From what I can tell, it’s a memory leak which is causing the stutters some people are talking about. There was a general performance decrease that was in fact fixed in a hotfix update, however it didn’t also fix the memory leak which was also present.

The more RAM you have the less likely it is to be an issue during a play session.

Thank fro reply.

To play Warcraft III 16 gb of ram is enough and more but I have 64 gb in a pc and 32 in another one and the problem is always present. The hotfix did not fix anything!

It absolutely did fix a bunch of things, just not this one thing for you personally. I’m sorry you’re still having a problem, but it is important to distinguish it as the different issue it is, because the fix was pushed live after many people reported the issue to be resolved on the PTR. That doesn’t mean there aren’t other issues, as I said before, but to go out and try to say “the hotfix did not fix anything!” when it absolutely did is straight up false.

Hi, I have the same problem as you,

However, a person named A has been saying that he is okay. I saw what he said and he said that his frame rate is only 100fps, which is a big difference from my fps (190). I feel that his words are not reliable.

His classic quote is (Captain Jack 2118 posts:16GB is not a lot today you know that right?
And do you know what a memory leak is)

War3 doesn’t require that much memory, indicating that it is very ignorant

Here is my test video, there is a 50fps gap between version 1.35 and version 1.36

version 1.35 in game max=210 average fps=190

You started your own thread about it in the Bug Report and Tech Support forums, which is plenty, yet you spammed it all over the place.

You have right, sorry I was inaccurate in saying this

Fun fact: Different people with different machines may get different performance. The FPS I reported was normal for me. You have a nicer machine so you get nicer FPS. Makes sense right? My FPS being different from yours does not make my words wrong. It means I have different hardware from you. Which is also a big reason why different people have different issues in PC games of all kinds. Sorry, but not everyone gets or ever got 190FPS in this game, regardless of patch.

Note: I use reforged mode, which obviously results in lower FPS, and I have all the graphics options turned on, which obviously lowers performance. If I turn everything off I get ~200FPS. But I like nice graphics so I go with the settings that give me 100FPS because it’s totally fine and it looks nicer.

There’s no need to be a flaming jerk.

Your lack of understanding of what a memory leak is is very ignorant. It doesn’t matter how much the program normally uses, when a memory leak occurs, it means that more and more memory gets used up as the program loads data into memory and stops pointing to it and then loads more data in a different location instead of replacing what it no longer needed. Some users have reported such issues which is an extremely common cause for “unplayable” stuttering… It doesn’t matter whether you have 8GB or 64GB, if a program has a memory leak it will use more memory over time and cause problems. But the less RAM you have, the faster it will become evident.

Also: Custom games often use a LOT more memory, as maps can come packaged with a lot of extra assets and the entire thing has to be loaded into memory.

Please show where all 500 people in your discord said they had this exact problem and maybe I can believe it. But you can’t just say “theres 500 people in my discord and I have a problem so they must all have it.” That’s not rational. Several people in this forum reported their FPS problems going away after the hotfix. Again, I’m sorry you still have a problem, but you don’t represent everybody.

Now I suggest you stop pretending not to name shame and post in a more civilized manner. And please stop trying to represent anyone other than yourself. Let other people who have problems post here instead of acting on their behalf.

You should be posting in the tech support / bug report forum with your DXDiag and summary of your issue instead of trying to dramatize it here.

Foolish, I have a video confirming that this fps has not been completely fixed, and there is no video as evidence for what you said.

ht%tps://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1MP411D7M1/?spm_id_from=333.999.0.0

Any help would be appreciated.

The problem has been identified, and another player has reported the same issue. Like me, he is also an AMD user, and I believe that 1.36 is not compatible with the AMD CPU this time.

I am not playing small-scale battles of 1v1 and 2v2, but large-scale battles of 12v12 and 7v7. Each player has more than 60 units, and when all units gather in the same place, I need larger fps to support the game. Before version 1.35, my PC was sufficient to support it.

Another issue, the reason you mentioned me is due to memory. However, in my video, my computer opened versions 1.35 and 1.36 respectively, using the same operating environment (memory, CPU, and GPU), but they did not receive the same fps. This indicates that fps has not been fully fixed.

If you have watched these two videos but still say that the fps issue has been resolved, I think you are making trouble for no reason. You don’t believe what your eyes see (the difference between the two versions of 50fps), then what is the significance of discussing it

need hotfix patch

The issue reported previously was completely fixed. There are multiple issues that are not directly related. That’s what I’ve been trying to tell you this whole time and all you’ve done is been inflammatory and rude.

It may shock you to realize that games can have more than one bug or issue at a time, and that different people with different hardware can be affected by them differently. But it’s true.

My FPS returned to normal and many other people also reported their FPS returned to normal. So while there may very well be some other bug or performance issue that is impacting you, it is false to say that the issue reported by many players prior to the hotfix wasn’t fixed, because it was. Your issue is a different one and it should be reported as such.

Acting immature doesn’t make you correct, aside from the fact that even if you were, you don’t represent everyone, I don’t see 10000 people with an exact copy of your PC getting the exact same performance as you. Your “data” is yours and not anyone else’s.

On an AMD CPU asnd my FPS is fixed. So, no. whatever issue that might exist, being on AMD is not the cause.

Again, acting like as you are by making childish flames only makes you look bad, not anyone else.

Uh, gonna have to call [citation needed] on that, I haven’t even seen 100 unique people post on the topics. And again:

Ryzen 9 7900X 12-core 24 thread CPU @ 4.7 gHz
(lol I need a new GPU) AMD Radeon RX 6600 8GB

My FPS decreased about 15% when the big patch went live after PTR. After the last hotfix, FPS returned to normal. It is not an AMD specific issue; if it is, it’s with specific card(s) or CPUs and mine isn’t among those. It is a real issue I have no doubt some people are having, but it is not exclusively an issue relating to AMD hardware as I have both AMD GPU and CPU and no FPS issue. There have also been some NVIDIA users reporting the issue.

Good luck finding a Intel CPU user that still got fps issue after the hotfix weeks ago then, I saw no one

What is your Ryzen CPU? I have Ryzen 7 3700X and the game has returned to normal.

AMD Ryzen 7 1700.
I made another post @technical support

I just don’t know what else to say. Except if the devs are asking for DXDIAG, provide it for them.
