Before the hotfix I could play the Re-reforged campaign at 100-120 FPS. Now it’s around 90-100
And the cinematics went from 60+ at all times during to 40-60 at certain shots
I’m done.
I know your team is tiny, but how is this a repeating thing? This isn’t the first time a patch
It’s not easy to maintain a large codebase with a small team, especially a codebase like Warcraft 3: Reforged. They are doing the work, and we’ve received more fixes in the last week than in the four years since launch. Be patient and provide useful feedback—they’re here, and they’re working !
I am not sure its the patch. I downloaded the patch and played on classic and my fps was fine. I was excited for the love the game was getting so I decided to upgrade to reforged battle pack. I turned off all the reforged graphics settings and my fps is still really low compared to before the upgrade. I would like to get my fps back as it feels a little sluggish.
I have tried to be patient. I even wrote to a support that contacted me about refunding Reforged back in 2020 that I don’t blame them and just hope the game gets fixed soon, and then I would happily buy it again
Did they fix a good bit of the game for the better? Yes! I have in fact always loved Reforged as a Single Player experience, but the FPS and crash issues kept me from playing it. 2.0 fixed most of that and I really enjoyed replaying the Human campaign on Reforged graphics
Sadly this also means that if they can’t keep their FPS from dropping, then IMO they should just focus on getting that fixed and then leave the game alone
Cause this has happened before and it took them 1-2 years to fix it, just to break it within a week (At least on my end)
I have heard that it’s also not everyone that has gotten the hit or improvement.
Yet myself personally have sadly have lost faith that the team won’t again be forced to abandon Warcraft 3 by higher ups and leave it in a messy state
Which sucks cause Warcraft 3 was a big part of my own childhood. Like a lot of us here, we grew up on this game. I just want it to be at it’s best, but I sadly can’t see that being the case with what has happened after they brought back the hope of a functional and good Warcraft 3 experience for myself
