There’s a difference between not finding something important and saying it’s a bad idea. You frame this as me objecting, but I’m simply pointing out that it isn’t going to happen, reagardless of our opinions on it.
No this is an invalid take,
You can’t just declare something invalid and make it so. You have nothing to back this statement up other than your own opinion. You don’t work opn the dev team and don’t know how it would be implemented.
Your comparison fails to achieve what you set out for it to do. I’m pointing out that even if it was 2/3 or half the size it is now, people would still complain. Heck if it was even one byte larger than before I’m sure someone would complain, because people need things to complain about.
This is not a problem for anyone with a modern PC. I can see how it could be a possible problem for someone with a PC that barely meets the requirements, but those players aren’t going to have a good experience anyway.
Bottom line is I wouldn’t fight it if they decided to do it, i’d be happy for the small number of people who want to play Reforged and who have a <100GB hard disk and can’t spare the space. But for the vast majority of us, this isn’t/shouldn’t be a problem. Most of us could install several copies of this game for the amount of space any “relevant” game today takes up.
It’s not opposition, it’s indifference. I didn’t say it was a bad idea, only that it really isn’t important- because it isn’t. Is it that hard to just uninstall some other game you’re not playing? And there are so many other more productive uses of the time of anyone who might still be involved with the project.
