Is human the only race with 3 defensive tower options?

Archer - Pierce
Cannon - Siege
Arcane - Normal (With feedback)

Orc:
Watchtower
Burrow

NightElf:
Ancient Protector

Undead:
Spirit tower
Cold tower
Necropolis??

Maybe give orc and nightelf new tower choices?

Every building of Night Elves are ‘towers’ they can attack units and even move, Orcs are using watchtowers, burrows(which are epic) and defensive upgrades, Undead has their Necroplis’ to defend themselves and also greatest tower(cold tower) plus spirit tower. So they do not need any tower choices

Night elf towers right click is kind of a joke against ranged though.

Thats what doesnt make it a “tower”

But they are the most useful buildings that all the players are using them to both creep, fight with foes or defend their bases. They are the last race that needs any kind of ‘more towers’

Still im feeling Human got way to many defensive ranged ability.

Only undead rivals it.

And their versatility is crazy

Plus why AP attack siege while all other towers pierce dmg?

Undead main bases are the most well defended bases, their expansions are the vice versa, Human towers are too easy to kill when you catch them in the right time, other than that they are decent not like too much you still can destroy them easier than any of other races towers though. Night Elves are always safe their bases both have moonwells to heal their units and buildings that can attack, Orcs do not even need towers when they have burrows

Why siege dmg though? Slow a** attwck soeed protectors…

Your not going to be bringing them to attack enemy base you bring best case ballistas

Why would you bring your buildings to fight an enemy and why would Night Elf even bother with Protcetors when they have the Ancients Of War LOL :smile:

No it does not need a rework like I said all the Night Elf buildings are towers while AoW being their best

Then you have Ancient Protector which is decent, the game is not balanced like you think it is, you can build a wall of Ancient Protectors that can do SIEGE DAMAGE to air units to soak all of them with one shot, think about it first

No one makes cannon towers so really its just illusion of choice.

And if you count militia as defense, then undead have ghouls as lumber guards and NE have wisps to dispel summons too. Moonwells are very potent as they are.

Undead builds ziggurats as farms but can upgrade any one of them without moving an acolyte

Human has to select a peasant to build towers (which do nothing except “scout”) then wait for the tower to get another upgrade, meaning its twice as much work

Factor in that human farms only have 6 food, meaning Human has to move peasants around more frequently than any of the other races. Also factor in that humans usually have to produce more units as they have more small units than other races. This essentially makes human require more apm to be used for base macro than other races.

There is a thing in WC3 called racial identity, and it is wrong to try and make each race equal, they are supposed to have variety, thats the whole point of this RTS game. If you want every race to be the same, then go play WC2

Pretty sure blizz said they are looking into tweaking APs so how about we just focus on the current changes of the latest PTR… more towers is the last thing we need right now

Seriously, if you want every race to resemble a big, grey blob play smth else. If you want three tower options, play human. Thats called race diversity. Your suggestion just sucks, is plain stupid.

Yes humans have the strongest towers and base building options. And its intended. Its one of their racial perks, very much stronger than the other races and not intended to be mirrored.

That’s the human thing. Nightelves get the best regeneration via moon wells, orc the strongest heroes, human the strongest towers, undead the uh, uh, well, don’t pay attention to undead.

Cannon towers are pretty great at both fending off direct assaults on entrenched bases and for sneaking in a tree line behind someone’s base. A blood mage with ivory towers and clarity potions can shut down a gold mine on his own. They have exceptionally long range for lobbing over a tree line when attacking ground- 800+50/100/125 for 100/50/10% damage, but fragmentation shards extends that to 800+100/225/275 for 25/15/10 damage to workers. Being able to shut down a gold mine from 1075 range away when guard towers only have 700 range away is neat
