Fix my save files blizzard

I redownloaded W3 Reforged in the hopes of replaying the campaign + frozen throne before getting the new one - however I have been plagued with issues, from minor ones where if I don’t start the campaigns in a very particular way my graphics setting choice gets ignored, to this new monstrosity after the latest patch.

I have been playing the Undead campaign, and finished chapter 7. I progressed into chapter 8, saved, decided I had enough for the day and left it. Big mistake.

Came back the next day to my save not being loadable, coming up with an error on attempt (don’t remember the exact wording)… fine I reloaded last autosave, was 3 minutes away from winning anyways.

I then completed nearly all of chapter 8, once again saved and decided to leave it.

Not only is my save not there, but not a single autosave survived either. I now have to play through the whole chapter again, with no guarantee that it will even count! This is absolutely ridiculous and unnaceptable.

I bought this game on a CD, in the early 00’s. While its great to now be able to access it though BattleNet for easy downloads, Blizzard should be ashamed to release a new patch that breaks basic save functionality - and expecting us to pay for a new expansion??

I saw the Blizzard post about reverting patch version, most likely this is the culprit - not good enough, since my last saves were on the newer patch. Figure it out Blizzard, its a game that was working fine before you started vibecoding always online functionality for no reason.

I mean, technically, what does that mean? You wont play it until they release the new update?
If you do play it, wouldn’t that mean you have accepted that and just move forward?

I feel that many user/players are forgetting that Warcraft III, ever since Reforged came out, has been a really bad release party, one after another…

Yet everyone acts like this is brand new. Expect stuff to go wrong, I don’t want to be disappointed either, but come on… “Fool me once, shame on them, fool me twice… shame on me”

Don’t go bootlicking Blizzard. Even if its par for the course for the company, we are allowed to expect better.
