Ever since patch 1.34 I have no been able to queue into games quickly.
Prior to the patch I used to find games under 2 min.
Now it takes up to 10min to find a game.
Is this going to be fixed anytime soon or is there any work around besides wc3 which also has long wait times for me.

There are no Australia servers.
That said, generally the reason you can’t find games is because of a networking issue along the path you’re taking to reach the gateway you’re connecting through (Asia/Americas/Europe). Usually this can be remedied by using a VPN or connecting through a different gateway. Games are always global so switching gateways does not limit your ability to play.
The best option for Oceania is to VPN to ICN.

ICN is the server in South Korea. You can also try Taiwan.
Try routing to either of those countries.

I’m living in Germany, and I’m joining the European servers.
My QUEUE is 15-30 minutes, sometimes 60 minutes! (4vs4) (of course… rare times you are lucky having it in 5 seconds, 1 minute or 5 minutes, joining the stack later.)
I have several screenshots of over 15 min.
It seems like it’s not necessarily because you are living “too far” away.
Also I am hearing very mixed feedback about this, a few individuals talking about 20 seconds to 2 minutes queue. (4vs4) However I am not sure whether they were trolling, because everywhere I read people have long queues, with rare times the total contrary. The numbers between people’s queue time not matching isn’t the surprise, but the sheer gap between.
Can someone shed some more light onto this? What can we do
About VPN, I am not an expert on this - but I used it for a specific game for quite some time. Beware: the total free ones are usually not good. (actually not at all for gaming)
Most “good” ones come with a free trial though for up to 1 month, this is great to test whether they work for you (and how well), and then it’s probably also (very) worth it!
Really? I never knew about this, I never faced any lag playing on my Region unexpectedly, neither, While I do when joining America or Asian server.
I only know it’s the case for custom games.
Can anyone Else confirm the quote?
The player pool is global for customs and melee.
Then it’s REALLY weird my queue times are so long… even though I’m not writing in Australia. Please hullp
Have you ever seen people with blank names in-game? Or noticed substantial differences in ping from one game to the next? It’s because that game is being hosted on a server in a different region.
It will be diferent for you than for me, because the Asia gateway is the closest one to you, but me being in the US, most of the time my pings will be low as most players are in the Americas or Europe, but sometimes I’ll see pings more than double what I usually see, which means it’s an Asia server game. And typically, this will be accompanied by user names in a far eastern language (Korean, Chinese, Japanese, etc)
