You stated that most animations are frame bounded to the classic version and thus limited in smoothness. That can be very noticeable: even at 100+ fps units move like if they are locked to 20-30 fps. I am not an expert but why don’t you double the animation frames for both reforged AND classic (this way there shouldn’t be any sync problems). I bet with a SLERP between 2 subsequent frames (hell even a linear interpolation would do great) you could like double the animation frames and make the game feel more smooth.
If you can’t do that now cause there are other priorities before release, you could still implement with post release patches (maybe im too optimistic with that one
).
Look at that:

even with old models the game looks so good in SC2 engine (yes there are additional shaders and shadows) thanks to the smoothness which makes this look awesome to me.

It looks like war3: r 2018, but with older models. Maybe in truth in 2018 they showed us a game on the Starcraft2 engine.
I agree. 144hz player here, my FPS is around that value, VSync is off. The animations look like they are locked to 30 or 60 fps, that certainly needs to be fixed

Wc3 classic animations are and can be linerized which pretty much makes their frame rate infinite. Problem with RF is that they idioticly refuse to do it correctly like War3HD did which is to remake each aniamtion down to a T. With same movement but in more detail for cloth and such which is exacly what War3hd in Starcraft 2 does. Instead they make animations different for sake of being diffferent and while being at that make them as different as they cant while complaining like idiots in interviews “how limiting” animation timings are. Its whole can of worms about their decisions that i dont want to bother opening right now because it would warrant an essay to list and i dont have time or energy to do it for 100th time.
I was talking about this last few days on forum, and i encourage all people that we should be persistent and make them fix this, since all things they promised are cut!
Game really feels clunky and laggy even if i am on 150+ fps just because this dumb unit movement, it hurt eyes for someone who is used to play at 144hz+.
This should be a feature, please make the animations 144hz compatible.
