hi, I am trying to run the classic game with “-graphicsapi direct3d9” but the only thing I get is black screen and sound. Any way to make it work normally ?

Yes, you can fix this issue. Go to the command line arguments you are using to start the game program and remove the part where it says “-graphicsapi direct3d9”.
The only Warcraft 3 patches currently available to download from Blizzard that I am aware of are the old Patch 1.27 legacy client, available from Battle.net at the GetLegacy link, and then also the Patch 1.32 client that is easily available from the Battle.net Launcher.
The Patch 1.27 client does not offer the command line argument you are referring to because it is from before most of the Reforged team’s work. On Patch 1.27 the command line argument for Direct3D9 is different – I believe it was simply d3d – if indeed you mean to say you are running the old version, at all, when you say classic game. Additionally the Patch 1.32 client is a modern game for modern Windows PC that should not use Direct3D9 because it was built by the Reforged team for newer versions of the Direct3D SDKs.
If you have some other version of Warcraft III either because you bootleg’ed it or refused to upgrade, then most likely based on your description you are using one of the incomplete Reforged prepatches. In such a case, Blizzard Entertainment technical support will not be able to help you because you are running unsupported software and you are taking responsibility for whatever you do with your computer at that point.

1 solution, that worked here:
Open regedit.exe. Click Start, hit windows key + r and type Regedit and hit enter.
2. Or in the textbox after clicking the start button, just type Regedit.
3. Then locate this:
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER → Software → Blizzard Entertainment → Warcraft III → Video
- Then click Adapter and set to 0
- Restart Warcraft III, if it is OKAY, then congrats.
