ORDR1.312_RERORGED.W3X Does this map need to be banned? Will this map trigger some serious bug that will crash the platform?
It caused a serious server outage yesterday!
A few days ago, the Asia (KR) server also had many serious problems. I and my friends in the Discord voice group have reported the relevant problems many times!
We are not Korean, nor Chinese, nor robots!
We are from Taiwan, and we have a Warcraft 3 Reforged community with over 670 members!
We are a group of Taiwanese players who love Warcraft 3 Reforged!
We are all playing on the Asia (KR) server, and have recently encountered many strange problems that make it difficult to play normally!
I wonder if there are too many players recently? Is the network server overloaded?
My group friends and I suggest that Asia (KR) server should add a new network sub-server in Taiwan to reduce the load of KR server and improve the response speed of network server and the stability of network quality!
Or maybe it’s because the clearing function of the custom room hosted in the custom game list of the Blizzard BNet platform after starting or closing the room is invalid, resulting in many custom zombie fake rooms appearing in the custom room list, occupying server resources and causing crashes.
Or are there bad guys maliciously attacking the server? Distributed Denial of Service Attack? Does Blizzard need to direct traffic and clean up network traffic?
I can offer the following suggestions:
DDoS protection (1) multi-layer protection mechanism
Generally speaking, DDoS attacks can be isolated by attacking the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) layer. DDoS attacks are most common at the network layer (Layer 3), transport layer (Layer 4), presentation layer (Layer 6), and application layer (Layer 7).
DDoS Protection (2) DDoS Traffic Cleaning
All traffic is directed to a network architecture with cleaning capabilities and SOC monitoring to monitor traffic and packets at all times. When invalid packets, abnormalities, or connection behaviors that match attack characteristics are found, the cleaning mechanism will be activated to block the abnormal sources and take protective measures such as packet filtering, so that the DDoS attack will be ineffective and normal traffic will be injected back to the customer website.
DDoS Protection (3) Cloud Scrubbing Center
By adopting cloud-based regional joint defense, attack traffic from different countries can be sent to the nearest cleaning center, which can speed up the cleaning process and effectively avoid the failure of a single cleaning center.
DDoS protection (4) 24/7 defense monitoring
Engineers monitor your host 24 hours a day. If a DDoS attack is detected, they will be notified immediately and the traffic will be directed to the cleaning center.
DDoS Protection (5) Reverse engineering the onion routing method to find the culprit and resolve the source of the malicious attack through legal means.
