do you guys feel like reforged means something like a lower tier remake or its technically the same thing just in different wording. Im quite curious because I’ve only seen remake edition of classic games so far.

People are so hung up on this. I think it plainly sounds more “Warcraft-y” and that’s why it was chosen.

reforged is basically remastered but using a wording that fits better with the era in which the game takes place.
Well, i think they choose Reforged because of the new Cutscenes, New Models, new Voiclines and so on. I think they planned to change too much to call it Remastered 
This was probably not their original intention, but for me it’s art style of the models.
They are not just more polygon, with more detailed textures versions of their former selves - something I would have expected from remaster.
Instead they are remade from scratch in a different art style.
Since people cant even decide what does remake and remaster mean, it absolutely doesnt matter…
Also its just name of the product, same like Doom64 is Absolution or Darksiders got warmastered edition …

A remaster is the same game updated with better graphics and maybe some very minor quality of life and gameplay changes, but usually these are limited to under-the-hood changes, like making an old game run properly on modern operating systems.
A remake is total re-imagining of the game, most cases in a totally new (or highly modified) game engine with all the assets and coding remade from scratch. So basically only the look, idea and story transfer to the remake.
Reforged then is something in between these two: more than just a remaster, but not quite a remake.
Simply put: Warcraft 3 Remaster would be basically what we see in Reforged multiplayer (no gameplay changes, just improved graphics). Warcraft 3 Remake would be, for example, remaking Warcraft 3 from scratch in Starcraft 2 game engine.

Reforged is just a cool sounding name for it, marketing, not a technical term.
Is what it is.
What was originally advertised, like the remaking of the campaign with new voice lines and some story changes and all the World Editor changes, etc, hinted at something a bit bigger than just a remaster (compare to Starcraft: Remastered). But with all the cut content of Reforged, I’m afraid it is indeed looking more like a remaster now.

Exactly. When they announced it they said that they called it reforged and not remastered because it was gonna be bigger than just a typical remaster.

SC Remaster got a huge AA boost just to fit modern resolution but model is the same, we got a full update game in Reforged.
