DLC for Warcraft 3?

that is not DLC, that is an expansion which is included in the base game now.

You are wrong! TFT is an add-on! Go away with your new-fashioned words. Add-on in 2003, add-on in Russia, add-on in our hearts! Resist the language change!

We lowkey need a DLC for the events happening between TFT and WoW.

Some major grey area here.

I believe the community itself will campaign on war1 and 2 when Reforged leaves. Already Blizzard, I doubt …

I wouldn’t want anything that could affect the online balance.
I think that they should mostly focus on skins.

Wc3 at its heart is a multiplayer game, either from melee or great maps.

if you are not a multiplayer kind of guy you need to understand the heart of this game as a fact.

however, there are TONS of great singleplayer campaigns and maps with super high quality. you should play them instead.

i have no idea why people keep asking for expansions and DLC’s in a game that can self sustain with custom maps. you guys are either too damn stubborn or too damn disconnected from the custom community that already made amazing singleplayer content that can EASILY cover 100+ hours of games across the board.

Actually…99% of what you said was false.
Not to be mean or anything but:

  • There is more then enought time in one month to get one charakter to max level AND experience the lore

  • Every important Story-driven quest has some kind of Audio or cutscene ever since WoW Legion.

  • With Battle for Azeroth Blizzard released a feature where you every zone covers more levels so you can easily finish the Story of any given zone and you get fitting rewards

  • Every “Important” quest is shown on the map. The minor ones are not.

  • Every zone tells it’s own story and that’s why you really can’t lose track of them. Exepct some rare or Story-quests that need you in different locations.

  • Yeah raids can be annoying I’ll give you that one.

  • You don’t need to creat every race. You could make an Orc and start playing him in Mulgore. You’ll get the same quests as low level Tauren. Even thought the NPC text can get messed up if you do that.

  • Cataclysm did change Azeroth, correct but since Legion, there are part in the world where a bronzue dragon will be waiting and if you talk to him, he’ll “transport you back in time” and the zone will look like it did befor some strange event that changed it. And that is not temporarly. You can switch around as much as you like.

Sorry I know you are basically helping my argument with “we should be able to play it in WC3 since WoW is not good enought” but…well I love WoW and the lore.

Like… WoW Lore made me cry. Multible times. And most of the times ingame.

  • I suppose that depends on the mindset of a person. Personally I feel rushed when I have limited time. And I don’t pay much attention to the quests. Especially the early ones.
  • Yeah, but what about before Legion? That is the 2-nd last expansion, and there were quite a bunch before that.
  • I know they implemented something like that, but my 110 level hero is just 1-shoting everything in Draenor, and I still haven’t completed the story there. Which brings me to another point I didn’t mention earlier:
Some questlines require you to physically wait for a week, or so before you can continue.
  • I think quests are shown on the map only if you aren’t too high level for them.
  • Yeah, but this way you are missing the Orc storyline. If you complete 1 storyline, you are too high level to complete another. And while you can do it with the same hero, it’s just dull to do it like this.
  • Okay, I didn’t know that.

getting a level 1 character to max level takes at least 50 days. you can gain 2 levels per day if you are lucky, more at the start of the game before level 10. after level 10 it goes slowly. of course, it depends on what class you play, since some classes starts on a higher level. death knights and demon hunters takes less time to max because they start higher. some quests is available to all allied races while some are not. think blood elf starting quests is blood elf only. same with some draenei quests. you could complete most alliance quests as draenei and most horde quests as blood elf however. there is a switch ingame that enables you to see low level quests on the map.

Honestly it’s more dependent on timing and your available resources.

It’s harder for someone fresh without the knowledge or benefit of hand-me-down-heirlooms and exp-pots.

But honestly Legion had those crazy Invasion events that could boost you up to near-max level in the span of a few mere hours. The catchup mechanics they add sometimes are insane.

Levelling is the best in TBC anyway. But some people think you can’t play TBC anymore, so they’re waiting for Classic.

the burning crusade goes from level 1 til 20 and then from leve 58 to level 70.

TBC goes from 1 to 70. No DKs.

not entirely correct. the burning crusade is the new stuff that was added to the basegame. that goes from level 1 to 20 and then from level 58 to 70. in between, it is the base game entirely apart from one town(unless there is a new horde town as well that is).

Exodar (Alliance)/Silvermoon (Horde)

and about the new stuff added that goes from 1 - 20 that applies to only Draenei and Blood Elves in their respective new start zones. Aside from the new start zones for the new races there was virtually no change in existing races quest/grind/area play-ability in that leveling bracket. With the exception of granting Horde Paladins and Alliance Shamans.

No, TBC was an expansion. Deleted by Blizzard in late 2008 with no possibility to play it again, at least, not on their own servers.

Some things “remained” such as the raids and quests, albeit many changed already in 3.0.2 with the lowered experience requirements for pre-70 levels.

Abilities, talents and gear were deleted completely.

Elites made non-elite in 2.0.3 and and the experience requirements lowered in 2.3.0 (I believe). The Dustwallow Marsh was changed in 2.3.0, too.

Bro, you CAN do the Draenei and Bloodelve starting quests. Their starting zones are available for everybody. you just need to go their. Draenei with a ship and Silvermoon well…walking.

No, you cannot. Do I need to explain it to you? The BC ones are gone completely. Now you have new BfA starting zones basically. With different classes, mobs, mana/health regeneration… It’s a different game.

I don’t even know what you are talking about. Yes, the lore and quests are the same (except for the Shrine of Dath’Remar’s plaque’s description corrected in Cata - see, I know it through and through). But the mechanics are all different. Not the same game.

If you just look at the WoW models’ being used (although even that’s not been true since WoD), then you might be surprised that WoW is not the only game using the them (( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)).

As I’ve said in many other places, I would like to see DLC campaigns based on past lore from warcraft. Like War of the Shifting Sand, Troll Wars, Raise of the Black Empire, ect. Have entirely custom tech trees for who you are playing as or fighting against like the Old Gods Forces, Legion, different troll tribes, dwarf clans and such. All kinds of ideas.

I also believe it’s entirely possible to make campaigns based on what’s in WoW, and the amount of side quests would be set at a bare minimum. But, there would need to be new tech trees for each playable race that’s in WoW, And for some factions you fight along side with or against, like Argent Dawn, and Twilight Hammer. I’ve been working on this for myself, for my own entertainment mainly.

the blood elf and draenei starting zones is left unchanged but, blood elf starting zone quests is blood elf only(at least it was when i played). the burning crusade added 1 town in ashenvale at the very least.
