Could we be provided with a developer roadmap moving forward? I think we are all eager to know what is being implemented next and (roughly) when.
There are critical features missing from the game that will immensely improve quality of life of the game, the greatest of which include: a competitive ladder, standard league system (e.g. bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond, master, grand master), and profiles with match history and statistics. These three things alone will do wonders for the game.
That’s not to say the game also needs many other things that have been promised: a balance patch that is LONG overdue, the return of clans, ability to play custom campaigns again, offline LAN support, improvement to the chat interface, quality of life improvements for replay functionality, etc. The last balance patch - May 2019 - was a year ago! The last patch was 6 weeks ago, and the game was released 3 months ago.
Please work with the community. Those of us that are playing love the game and want nothing but its continued success.
This would be incredibly welcome of them to do but kind of unlikely, unfortunately. They always like to keep their cards close to their chest and I think the two teams that seem to have the most give-and-take when it comes to community feedback are the HOTS team and, funnily enough (although it’s stopped since I think the last update was February?), the Diablo 4 team.
They’d have to first start caring about us in order to “work with the community” and provide a roadmap. None of these threads have made them care yet, but they DO put on record how mistreated the community has been. Keep on keeping on.
I’ve come to the conclusion the reason they don’t have a dev road map is because they simple don’t have one themselves. Look at the development of this game. It’s slipshod and messy. They have no plan or idea what they are doing.
There is a roadmap, but it is complete. This game is drained dry financially. Will you give the developers a purchase roadmap for what purchases the community will be making of the new WarCraft 3 products?
Are you here to work with the developers or are you only here to slander them?
They had the money for a whole year and the game is almost worse than what they showed in 2018. So now they have to invest.
What would they have done with the silver of the pre-purchases instead of putting it in the game.
With how poorly they released this remaster, I would imagine ActivisionBlizzard decided to cut their losses and divert resources to other more profitable games. They don’t want to give us a timeline or a roadmap cause they themselves are not sure what else will be cut or if they will even have the resources to hit any timelines provided. The more time lapses without communication, the more the community realizes this game is cooked and Blizzard doesn’t care about it.
Most of the refund threads since Day 1 were telling people to refund, and if the game becomes worth it in your eyes, repurchase it. Idk what else you want, the playerbase is obviously very loyal, make a game worth it and people will pay.
The developer’s priorities are completely messed up. To think they actually spent time and resources creating useless things like a female death knight but failed to make essential parts of the game like ladder just completely blows my mind.
How about fixing the disconnects and give us a playable game?
I feel like they’ve given up on this project and aren’t interested in doing anything about it. After all, they haven’t even tried to monetise War3 with microtransactions like they have with SC2 and attempting to do that now would only backfire horribly.
There’s no incentive on their part to fix the game besides trying to regain customer trust, but they don’t care about that.

In any case they decided that before launching the remaster.
The issue is why they removing the original?

That has nothing to do with each other. They are two different developments.
But what if they instead walked to Malfurion on foot?
Or did they add the models of the Heroes as Skins?
Samuro has his own model and goes on an extra mission to pray.
But Anub-Rak does not have its own model yet. (and I believe that other heros do not have)
Hitman 2 had a monthly dev road map for a year after launch. Heck, they STILL have one every month, albiet it’s small because they’ve moved onto the next game.
Maybe I misspoke. But anyone could understand why a messy release of a classic game, coupled with a seemingly hollow apology, and virtually zero communication from the dev team about development ever, could lead a gamer to assume the team is mismanaged/incompetent/underfunded.
