Deadline troubles makes no sense to me

Ok so there’s lots of problems. This is not the place to enumerate them.

My question is why people keep blaming corporate deadlines?

As far as I can tell, the only thing they delivered on was updated graphics. But those were delivered, and mostly intact. Cool

If that was their intent, they could have rereleased the game as is, with a texture pack and called it a day. Why on earth did they even have to touch all the features they cut from the classic version?

You can’t say most of this missing content is due to a deadline, because it took more time to remove said features from the game than implement them, considering the game has already been made for them.

Am I missing something?

It’s obvious deadlines are creating these release dates and releasing stuff even when not complete.

Secondly, how do you get paid millions, get record profits, fire 800 people and relist some of their jobs with less pay and more work?

Oh I know, greed.

That’s also why they can rehire for an absurd bonus on people who simply left. Probably the same reason Blizzard doesn’t actually pay their workers well and use the excuse “lol, we so cool and awesome, work FOR us its a BENEFIT just having OUR NAME attached to you.”

The amount of freaking self stroking their egos is beyond ridiculous. These poor people have their work messed up, destroyed and taken ownership of just so they can be paid the lowest dollar so fat A Kotick can splurge into a wad of 100s.

Oh I agree that they’ve made some nasty business decisions. I just don’t understand how a 2 year production schedule is to short to change next to nothing on an existing game. The textures take time, sure, but they finished those.
