I’ve been trying to customize my keybinds but the in-game keybinds don’t change after editing the “Customkeys.txt” file in the specified folder. I have triple+ checked that I am in the right location, and even copy/pasted the file into each folder to try and troubleshoot that way, but even that didn’t work. When I open the .txt file, it shows the keys that I have assigned, but ingame it only shows the stock configuration.
I followed this thread but the instructions didn’t work for me either.
I have seen some say to place the file in the x86 folder, in the documents->wc3->customkeybinds, in the same folder as the war3.exe, so I placed a file there as well but none seemed to make a difference. Am I doing something wrong? Feels like it shouldn’t be this convoluted to change keybinds. In SC2 it’s just an option in the menus to change anything to whatever you want, but I feel like I’ve followed all of the steps exactly.
Before someone asks: Yes, I made sure I selected “Custom” in input settings
