Custom Campaign Menu Not Working

I just downloaded InsaneMonster’s excellent Human custom campaign, as last time I played it was only halfway done. Following the instructions on his FAQ, I extracted the zip file to the C:\Users\Me\Documents\Warcraft III\Campaigns folder. I opened up the game, went to single player - custom campaigns and…it crashed.

Looked online, someone mentioned that folders mess up the game, so I took all the individual maps out, put them in the Campaign folders by themselves, and deleted the folder and readme file, so only map files in the folder now. Open up the game, single player, custom campaigns, and all the maps load but…they all say “just another wc3 custom campaign”, there’s no description or further info on any of them, and when I try to open any of them it crashes again.

I’ve looked around and people seem to have the same issue, but there doesn’t seem to be a current solution. I tried this on the Live version and the PTR version, and neither version will load the maps. Curiously, I notice anytime I try to open custom campaign menu in the game, whether it crashes or opens with the weird “just another wc3 campaign” messages, there is another folder created in the Documents folder. It is
Documents/Warcraft III/BattleNet/150712/Campaigns/Custom and then it has all of the map names as folder names, with 0kb sizes and no actual maps. I tried deleting this folder, I tried putting the Warcraft III/Campaigns files in to this folder in case there is some kind of mix up on where it is trying to load them from, but nothing seems to work. At this point, I’m at a loss, and am wondering if anyone has a solution, or if I just have to wait for the next bug patch.

I will say that I did not have any of these problems last time I played a custom campaign in WC3 Reforged, and that was over a year ago. Seems we are regressing here.
