Crash to desktop after several minutes

Error report number 053692B6-D555-447D-99FD-4C8FE21F77E5.

After around 5 minutes of play, game crashes to desktop. This has occurred during single player and LAN custom games, across multiple maps, without fail during every attempt. My computer easily exceeds the recommended requirements: intel i9 13900k processor, 64gb ram, nvidia RTX 3060 gpu. I’ve scanned my install for repairs and updated my gpu drivers, but neither has solved the issue. Can anyone offer any guidance on next steps to take? Thanks!

Edit: just tried dropping all the graphics settings down to lowest, and still crashed, so it doesn’t seem to be an issue with high-end graphics. Have also tried running with Windows 7 compatibility mode (I’m running Windows 11), and again, still crashed. I have ALSO tried adjusting the priority that Windows runs Warcraft 3 Reforged, both maxxing and minning it out, and again, still crashed.

I am having the same problem

Try reinstalling. I don’t recommend using repair as it often does not resolve issues related to bad installs.

Good suggestion, but I just tried that and it didn’t solve the issue.

Howdy StealthLlama,

Your crash is an Access Violation so the game is interacting with memory and a value is not returning as it should. I also noticed the game is making calls to your OneDrive\Documents\WarCraft III. I recommend the following 2 steps:

  1. Desync OneDrive from backing up Documents\Warcraft III folder following the steps Here.

  2. Disable all Windows startup programs to help rule out a third-party software conflict following the steps Here. Restart the PC and retest.

Note: Undo any compatibility steps you did, shouldn’t need them for this type of crash.

Thank you.

Thank you for your response. I’ve tried these things, and I’m still getting the crashes. My most recent attempt has been to completely uninstall onedrive, to revert all onedrive locations back to my local hard drive, and disable all startup programs, but that also didn’t help. Do you have any other guidance? This most recent error report code was 13889F51-671B-4B26-BE16-7E368128EAE7.
