Is there a way to turn off the new timer that shows the seconds when buildings and other things are done being constructed?
I have no idea why you wouldn’t want this considering it’s useful info and it doesn’t get in the way of anything; but no I don’t think there’s an option for it.
Same could be said for all the other enhanced tool tips. Once you know how long it takes you don’t need to see it and its just more stuff on screen. Im glad it works for you though 
Well I can just ignore things I don’t need to look at. Even if you’re a pro it can help to know you’re getting that unit in another 6 seconds. Like I said, it doesn’t cover or get in the way of any other info. It’s on the command panel, not over the game screen or anywhere it could interfere with anything. And even pros don’t necesairly have perfect “internal timers” to keep track of everything in production down to the second.
If th is information was placed in the game world (like the # of workers mining display, for example_ or obscured thescreen in some way (like the ping/game time/APM counters) then it makes sense that you’d want to turn it off. But it’s useful information, even to a skilled player, and it does not obscure anything.
I’m not really opposed to options as a rule, but I don’t really think a change is needed either. The production time is onlv visible with the relevant building selected and that’s the only time you can get that information anyway.
Others CAN’T just ignore.
So I understand and need a way like for life bars to put or remove this from Options menu.
Anyone can learn to do something. Learn to ignore it. We dont need development time spent on this.
But honestly better yet, learn to leverage the information so you can just leave more room in your head to track other things.

Why would I encourage Blizzard to revert a harmless feature that maybe agitates one or two obsessive-compulsive people? I bet most ordinary players don’t even know exactly how long the construction times are and really appreciate having that information!
