Constructive post

Attempting to be constructive, here is a list of things the dev team should look at:

  • Take a look at custom games and matchmaking to ensure it is all working properly without network problems.
  • Investigate frame rate drops on a variety of systems (maybe a hardware survey?)
  • Look into the missing unit attack animations (bug?) and the 30fps locked animation frame rates and see if they can be improved to work at the framerate the game is being run at.
  • Separate the installs for Classic and Reforged, so Classic players do not have to install 10-20GB of unused assets.
  • Please add WASD movement option for the map movement. This is an easy one.
  • Add Latin America and Oceania servers? Our friends outside of the US deserve better ping.
  • Add the Culling cutscene as shown in the 2018 trailer. The cutscene is already done, might as well put it in.
  • Over time, (I know this will take a while) work on new cutscenes for key moments up to the same level.

I hope this is a constructive and concise list of issues I have with War3 Reforged.

Let’s not forget, a lot of people (myself included) haven’t even been able to play the game yet, being unable to switch from the classic mode to reforged mode (switch button is greyed out and it says “you must own wc3 reforged” - needless to say that we’ve bought the game). The technical support tried addressing it by stating it was a PC specs issue, even though my PC fits the requirements for the game.

  • Offer a better deal to those who create custom maps.

  • Continue working on the game until you reach what is shown in 2018.

  • From the Original (unchanged) and reinforged campaign options.

  • Add new campaigns in the future.

  • Collaborate with fans who create custom maps.

  • Give love to the game and the players.

Appreciate the post mate.

More hotkey customization, preferably with a full ingame editor.

Hotfixes:
-allow custom hotkeys for inventory slots.
-add grid options for different keyboard layouts (qwertz, azerty, dvorak.)
-display correct hotkeys (or at least no hotkey at all) in the tooltip when grid is enabled.

It’s nice to see a constructive post. Sometimes honey attracts more flies than vinegar.

I think that Blizzard should take a couple developers off of Overwatch II for a few months to work on the new UI that was promised. Lack of the UI is one of the biggest complaints going around the community in the last day or two. But there’s no reason they can’t still work on this feature. They absolutely can, and should go forward with this and add it in a patch in a month or two. To minimize cancelculture blowback from a fanbase that is already upset, they can just make the new UI totally optional, and have it be a checkbox in the Menu Options that you can toggle at will- that way there is nothing to complain about.

Giving us a new UI will show that “they listened” to our chief complains and took at least some steps to belatedly smooth over a poor launch experience. Diablo 3 had A TON of late changes to menus and UI after launch, there is no reason that WC3R can’t follow Diablo’s lead in making up for mistakes that shipped at launch.

They really need to prioritize this, the company’s reputation is taking a huge beating over this launch and since they have not even issued a statement, it gives off the impression they either don’t care or don’t know how to handle this PR crisis.

Thank you for the constructive criticism, I understand that people are upset and angry but its good to stay positive and clearheaded right now. That way we can actually effect some change and try to right the ship.

There have been countless constructive points from day 1…

People are rightly pissed off and constructive feedback at this point is worthless. They didn’t listen before and they won’t know. Best message you can send is a refund and the middle finger.

I believe you forgot a couple - Create profiles and a ladder system for matchmaking based of stats a MMR…

This.
Who in their right mind would release a game without ladder, it probably just feels like a smurf fiesta to new players, hell this probably is going to deter new players away from the game.
