When scrolling down the Warcraft III: Reforged website page I stumbled upon the “Featured Heroes”. There are already a couple of threads on this forum expressing concerns over character appearance, but none of them have talked about the one who looks the most ‘different’. So I’ll give a bit of my own feedback.
If you don’t know what I’m talking about here’s a picture: xhttps://imgur.com/a/eUNWJc9
And a link to the website page if you’d like to see it for yourself:

He also appears in the gameplay trailer for Reforged at the 0:18 time mark:

(Remove the x on the links for them to work)
Where to begin? The long hair is gone. The beard is gone, the book hanging by the belt is gone. He also looks…thinner? That might just be my nitpicking though.
I know this was probably done in effort to make the ‘standard’ paladin model look different from the Uther model, but in my opinion it has become too different to the point of being unrecognizable. I only realized that was the paladin after watching the trailer, when I looked at the website page and saw the name of the unit.
What are your thoughts?

I think it’s kind of the opposite way around. Uther kind of took the Warcraft 3 paladin look and ran with it. Also they’ve confirmed campaign skins for melee/multiplayer, so if you don’t like the standard paladin you can use Uther.
I like this change. Every Paladin was just recoloured Uther, now they are their own characters.
And as said, you will have the choice to use Uther’s skin as your Paladin in custom games.

Aside the missing codex or tome, it looks fine to me. Not all heroes have to be over-decorated. Still, the big holy book is one of the signature accessories of the paladin in my opinion.

he Looks fine Overall, i don´t really like the hairstyle and they should add some Accessoires for him like the book to make him more outstanding he is a Paladin.

Even if i could choose uther i still think the other model should be banned. its so ridiculous i wouldnt even want to have it on the same screen and be forced to fight it.
the model is fine, but the face and haircut is outrages…
I see your point, that guy doesn’t look like a paladin to me. Especially the missing book, which is a huge part of their identity.

“The model is fine except for the part where part of the model isn’t fine.”
Otherwise, yeah. I think the one thing I’d like to see the dev team do is throw the libram back on his belt.
