Cheat Codes in WC3: Reforged?

So, I have fond memories of using some of the cheat codes in the game whenever I didn’t want to bother playing through certain missions the usual way. However, I know that with newer Blizzard games such methods aren’t present or are impermissible. Does anyone know which side of this Reforged is going to come down on?

cheat codes does exist in the game`s single player mode but, i am not sure if there will be consequenses for using them.

StarCraft II still has cheat codes. The only issue with them are that they were changed somewhere after Heart of the Swarm so most of the lists available online and now wrong and do not work. If one finds the lists of codes which do work, they will work as expected in single player, including arcade games played by yourself.

It should be using the exact same cheat codes as Warcraft III since it is just a Warcraft III patch.

Some examples…

  • whosyourdaddy {X} → Makes units deal 1,000 times the damage to other players and take no damage from other players. Optional X argument does nothing, but was possibly intended to be the damage multiplier at some stage.
  • greedisgood {X} → Adds some amount (I forget the default) of wood and gold to all players. Optional X argument specifies the exact amount to add. Very large values can set resources to 0.
  • warpten → Causes building, training, research and upgrades to complete a lot faster for all players. Unsure if this is 100 or 1,000 times the normal speed.
  • thereisnospoon → Disables ability mana requirements and causes abilities to cost no mana.

Cheats work ONLY if the map is used from World Editor. Im guessing the list when you open a map with World Edit, are the only maps you can use cheat codes on. Confirmed it myself after many different attempts

Since all single player games are now going through the online lobby system there won’t be any way of using cheatcodes. I haven’t tried it in the campaign but I wouldn’t be surprised if they just didn’t allow for cheatcodes. Especially because of the fact that completing the campaign is an achievement that grants a profile pic now.

Well in sc2 you could use cheats and that wouldn’t have counted for the campaign completion/achievements. They could do the same here.
