Change units models but keep the icons authentic

I think the redone graphics are really cool and fit in the current time. However redoing the icons of the units bothers me and I feel its an unnecessary change. The realism in the icons just makes the game less readable and I would miss those. If blizz wants to redo them to match the newer changed models I think they should stay in this style. What do others think about it?

Icons don’t need to change.

I know it’s hard but try not to let your childhood nostalgia confuse you. New things can indeed be better and they already told us that you can still play with the original graphics and icons if you so choose which means the old icons will be included in the world editor. Adding New icons to create consistency with the new graphics is the obvious way to go.

Aye, actually… I think it makes a lot of sense, took some time getting used to it I suppose.

We should lobby for having a whole menu tab dedicated to toggling Classic and Reforged options.

  • UI

I’d like that a lot, I want to play with new models but I’d much rather have old sound, voice and icons. UI kind of depends on how it ends up in the end, but right now the new UI looks better.
Also Potatomaster I know its hard but try not to let your arrogance confuse you, some people prefer the old aesthetic for reasons other than nostalgia. Like readability and design. Not all new things are better simply for the sake of being new.

Naww, did the mean adult make you sad? Yes you’re totally right, consistency is absurd. Patch work will look so much better in a professional product. Just stick to the original version dimwit.
