Can't play LAN with same CD-key

Dear Blizzard and community.

I sometimes like to play on 2 different computers using LAN to test my Custom Maps that I like to work on. However after recent patches I have been unable to join my own LAN games like I could before. So I was wondering if the recent patches made any changes to this availability?

I have considered buying another copy of Reforged for an additional CD-Key but I found out that you would have to make another Bnet account for that, which I prefer not to. I have 2 WoW accounts but apparently I can’t have more than one Reforged game on my Bnet account.

Thank you for looking into this

I am sorry I probably took ur key of a Key Gen

One should be able to start an infinite number of sessions of Warcraft III on the same computer and use the loopback adapter to play LAN. This is used to test multiplayer.

last time i checked, players were allowed to have 3 accounts. i have 3 reign of chaos cd-keys however(or more). i first purchased warcraft 3, then the collector`s edition. after that i got another unopened copy of warcraft 3 somehow.

Or if you have 1 computer you can start 3 Warcraft III application instances on it and get them all to join the same LAN game. Yes this does work.

not anymore. if you try to start it a second time you are told that it is already running.

I tested it with 1.31.1 just before I made the post above… Yes you can start multiple Warcraft III application instances with version 1.31.1 and yes you can get them all to join a single LAN game and yes you can start that LAN game. Only real limit to this is PC resources such as CPU, memory bandwidth and RAM.
