Can't create a custom game online or offline

Whenever I try to create a custom game online I never get to the game lobby, it justs says I joined the game and then left the game in the chat and when I try to create a custom game offline so I can add bots and practice build orders for example, it just says error. Is it happening for anyone else and how can I fix it?

i got the same problem as you, what is wrong with blizzard?

Same here. I managed to get into a friends lobby one time, but I was kicked immediately after the countdown finished.

I posted a fix that worked in my specific situation. Take a look and give it a shot so we can get back to tearing each other (and CPUs–let’s be honest) apart.

I am having this same exact issue. It is not every map, but some maps and even different versions of a same map will have the following happen:

  1. You choose the map, name, whatever.
  2. Click “Create”
  3. The game will hitch for a split second as the screen transitions (the chains and windows moving)
  4. You will be kicked back to the custom map list, and in the chat window you can see that you “joined” and immediately “left” the lobby you created.

This is very irritating as it is happening to the maps I want to play most. So if anyone saw a blue response to the issue or knows whats up please say so.

@Athiadem - I looked at your post but don’t understand what you were trying to say. You said you had a duplicate map folder? My PC has never had the original game on it so it can’t be that, although I looked anyway.

Edit: I believe this may be tied to just how old some maps are. I notice some “fixed” versions of maps uploaded recently seem to work, so this may be an issue of older maps just plain not working on a newer build. Sucks, but I’d like to know why so it may be possible to fix it. It also doesnt explain why older versions of a map would work when new ones will not.

how can i open maps offline o.O i only see the online lobby

I tried the fix some people mentioned about deleting the numerous folders inside the “download” folder within maps, and creating your own new folder, but that did not work.

I do not have the original game installed anywhere on this computer so it is not a conflict with any old WC3 folder.
