Hi,
I’ve installed Warcraft Reforged thanks to the Game Pass.
But when I launch the game, I’m stuck in the classic mode.
The game says I can’t activate the reforged mode because “This option cannot be modified while you’re in a game”.
No need to say that I’m in the game menu, then not in a game.
I’ve found nobody else posting with this specific error.
And please spare me my computer configuration or any other nonsense, the issue is the game here.
Can’t I activate Reforged via a config file instead ?
Edit : after searching deeper, I figured I don’t even have the new menu interface. I have the “lion screen loader” but after that I have the old War3 menu. And I’ve seen in videos that there is a new menu interface, which could explain that I can not activate Reforged mode.

Pay the money, then you will be able to use Reforged. It is a paid upgrade.
Reforged is a paid upgrade. The Game Pass contains Reforged. Not the original game.
What is the point of naming it Reforged if you don’t have access to Reforged ?

Edit : Ok update : despite everything saying it was ok, my Bnet account wasn’t properly paired with my Xbox account.
Now it’s ok I can activate the Reforged mode.
It’s not nonsese. If you’re unwilling to provide information, then you shouldn’t be surprised when people can’t help you. I’ve heard “it has to be the game” a billion times and then it turns out some windows setting or changing something else outside the game fixes the problem. Dunno if it would be the case here but refusing to provide information just makes techncial support harder.
We did get to the solution here, I’m just telling you this for future problems. When troubleshooting, one should leave no stone left unturned, even if it seems like something couldn’t possibly be relevant, it can be. As someone who has worked in an IT department before, please don’t be that guy when asking for help.
I have had people outright refuse to “turn it off and on again” when I know that will fix the problem, with them insisting that couldn’t possibly fix it and the problem MUST be somewhere else. Then when I turn it off and on and everything’s back to normal, they feel stupid. Because they were.
