Would it be possible to add a cancel button to the download pop-up in custom lobby?
To:
- Stop downloading a new map file
-
- (& potentially cancel a cheated map)
- Miss clicked a lobby name
Right now you can’t cancel a download unless you quit the game.
Leaving the lobby for the main menu, and opening up customs again will show the download is still on-going.
Merry c mas, and thanks for continuing working on the game!

same issue. MacBook air, m1 chip. can’t cancel the download nor even press the button, although the ESC button on my computer does work to go back, it does not cancel the download.
Most maps take a couple seconds to download at most, if you don’t want a map just delete it after.
This isn’t specific to macs or m1 chips, you didnt need to provide that information. It’s all versions and any hardware, theres no cancel button becuase no one thought it was necessary, because war3 maps are (usually) very small, in most cases you wouldn’t even have the opportunity to click a button before its done.
There are some exceptions of course, but alt-F4 is a great cancel button
Yes most maps used to, but not anymore.
Pumpkin TD is 204 mb, Direct Strike is 111 mb, Pokemon Legends 140 mb, 8 Bit Raid 50 mb. In this day and age maps are increasing more and more in size.
Alt+F4 is not a great cancel button.
I think now would be the right time to consider adding a cancel feat to keep up with progress.
