Can we still play the Reign of Chaos Campaign?

Because what is with all this statements of people saying ROC Online is not working anymore?

People prefer playing the ROC version of Warcraft without the Frozen Throne additions?

Can I still play the ROC campaign? I am patching the game at the moment.

You can still play RoC campaign no problem. The only change is that when you hover over “Battle net” it says “Please sure TFT version” aka you can’t play online on battle net with other players. That’s it : )

Right now I am notcing framerate issues with ROC but none for TFT.

Its making even playing the ROC campaign unplayable unless I lower the resolution

There’s a workaround. Go to Warcraft III folder, then x86_64, make a shortcut of Warcraft III and then add at the end -windowmode fullscreen -graphicsapi Direct3D9 . I’m on 1920 x 1080 @ 60, Fullscreen and it’s working nicely.

What do you mean make a shortcut? I already have a shortcut for Warcraft III?

Right click on Warcraft III.exe -> make shortcut. Go to properties of that shortcut and at “Target:” add at the end -windowmode fullscreen -graphicsapi Direct3D9 It had changed with recent patch. No more -nativefullscr to make it play nicely

Well apparently I did not need to do that because now its working fine. I relaunched the game as is with the shortcut on my desktop that is already there.

ROC is now running in a stable framerate.

Think logically. There’s nothing blizzard could actually do to stop you from playing the campaign. Even if they screwed it up on a new patch, you could install with an older patch. Even if they disabled your client entirely, you could install with an older patch. Its not like the game has DRM to stop you
