Can i still open classic editor?

Can i still open classic editor?
refroged is not working its lagging and cant open the map i did with classic, because its to much lag.

You can change the used asset mode when having the editor open:
in Menu File - Preferences - General - Asset mode -> SD. After that you have to reopen the editor. It also might be smart to change the assets used when using the test map button can also be done in that Preferences.

When you mean with classic editor an older version from a second installation then you might first need to delete regestry data of world editor Blizzard did some changes to the data in that regestry which stop that old editor from starting.

okay thanks, just looking for the editor that works, and with refroged it takes to long to open, and i cant test it well.

Yes you can still use the old editor, I use it to open some maps that won’t open in reforged too. Used my Roc/tft CD installed vanilla editor to salvage some old map assets.

and how? doesnt work for me

As was mentioned above. Open World Editor, open a blank map, change asset mode to SD, close World Editor, open World Editor, open your map.

Now will load lightning fast with SD (classic) assets.

okay, but i still start refroged client if i go to test map? not the classic client? 1.29 is away faster

Yes it starts “Warcraft III: Reforged”. What graphics this uses depends on what settings were selected. For example if you own just a RoC CD Key it will load up with classic graphics very fast. If you own Reforged you will need to select what graphics you want to test with in the World Editor preferences.

The difference in speed is minimal. If anything “Warcraft III: Reforged” with classic graphics is faster for very complex custom maps as it seems there has been some optimization done to the map loading process.
