I’m not sure if the dev team intended to remove the classic bottom left hero animated icon/portrait during the cinematic/cutscene or if it was just a bug. I, personally, like the classic iconic portrait showing the hero dialog and animation box at the bottom left corner. For me, it feels like the campaign is more engaging. If it’s possible please bring it back or have the option of turn it on and of please.

You’re confused because you’re probably playing the Reforged Campaign with Classic HD Art.
You’d have also noticed weird things like characters “Running” very slowly. This is because they don’t have a walking animation–i.e. this is a result of you using WC3 Classic assets in the Reforged Campaign when it has been designed and QA’d to work with the the Reforged assets. This is no doubt a big reason why in the original Reforged release they gave no option to play the Reforged campaign with Classic assets, but I guess the “2.0” team didn’t get the memo.
Simply go to Settings and untick “Reforged” at the bottom right. You’ll then end up playing the Classic Campaign which has the talking heads and all that good stuff as usual. In the Reforged campaign, the HD models themselves actually spoke, which is why there was no need for the talking heads. But with Classic assets, the models do not speak, so it’s just two static figures staring each other down for a full minute as they converse, which looks horrible.
So yeah. The update is cool and all, but worthless for the campaign as you can’t even play the Classic Campaign with the HD assets lol. And as you’ve noticed, playing the Reforged campaign with Classic HD assets is a pretty disturbing experience in more ways than one.

I think there’s a misunderstanding I like both classic and reforged but it’s just that during the cutscene of reforge there used to be the big icon on the bottom left corner showing the big face of the heroes but now it’s gone. It would be nice if they bring the animated portrait back I hope it’s just something they left out not there intention to deleted it.
You can turn it on in the options under Gameplay > Portraits in Video sequences
