Blizzard ... Remove at and rt u destroy game

Blizzard can u one time in your life use brain ? HOW RANDOM TEAM CAN BEAT A ARRANGED TEAM ?

By being good at the game and cooperating with your ally?

The only advantage an AT has is this sort of thing occurs more naturally with people who know each other. But bad players team up too, it’s not an automatic truth that the AT team is better than you.

Any advantage that can be argued can simply be mitigated by matching them against stronger opponents if the opponents are not AT.

Note, I’m not saying this was a great design decision, but given the game’s population, playing AT would not be good if they weren’t linked because the wait times would be way too long. Should people not be able to play with friends just because you lost to an AT? The player base isn’t large enough for seperate queues to work.

I wouldn’t mind a handicap for RT players, such as an extra 100 gold for each RT player. It wouldn’t make a big different in casual RTvAT which is fine anyways. It would however be a bigger deal in high level RTvAT which is exactly why it would be better. The 100 gold is to offset the additional cooperation that AT players get which is often by using voice chat like Discord to exactly coordinate their actions.

So handicaps could be a good solution and I think a simple 100 gold for RT players would be an easy to add idea with no downsides.

i’m not in favor of in-game adjustments; What I think should be done instead is rating adjustments. To account for the benfit of being in an AT, the team should be treated as if they were some number of MMR points higher for the purposes of matching when facing a non-AT opponent. Thus, they face opponents that are stronger individually.

Do you know him? I encountered him few times. Sure he collaborates!
But he is right here, AT and RT - mainly in 4v4 should never play together!
Maybe we can have an exception for 2v2 - to be able to team with one friend, but all night long on 4v4 and I am paired as random all time with same enemy is just unfair !

I’m not saying that they SHOULD play together, the problem is that queue times will be worse for both groups if they are not. There are ways, which we are discussing in this thread, to improve the fairness. But War3 is just not popular enough for these queues to be seperate. The wait times would be really bad.

It’s easy to say you’re willing to wait longer for a better game, but in practice, when the wait gets too long, you will just quit and the wait will get longer and more people will quit and it just snowballs.
