They said so in their Q4, sadly lads the improvements they are promising through years of live services are just small bug fixes and never addressing any of the core issues and features that are missing. Their new focus is going to be strictly on mobile from now on because they can put more microtransactions in there.

Not really. It translates exactly to what they said. They want mobile versions of all franchises to drive customers they are not currently reaching.
You draw them in on the phone and then sell them console and PC. They want players to be playing Activision/Blizzard games no matter what and yeah Mobile is the largest game market there is.
The Blizzard/fan relationship is too sour and you’re underestimating a task of that size. While I don’t agree with the quality of product they’ve shown recently, I’m convinced Blizzard is trapped in the impossible spot of trying to sell people their childhoods while trying to innovate at the same time. They’ll either be accused of rehashing the same ideas repeatedly or accused of tarnishing people’s beloved IPs.

Unlucky for you King makes those games and thus far that is not the route they have went down. Instead Activision made CoD mobile, top selling and top rated game.

mobile games are huge in asia, which is the market they’ve been pandering too for the past 10 years.
Netease owns warcraft 3 licensing in china aka they have their own Wc3 Client, so no one there is playing reforged.
That’s probably why Reforged is such a mess and poorly thought out remaster and such a focus on the models moreso then functionality and user experience.
was never made for us. was made for the asians. Blizzard only cares about that market ATM. They make a killing off of them, so therefor the asian market is more important. They cant step on the toes of netease, Blizzard gave China their new models, keeping wc3 a top dog in China where its thrived for the past decade. The passionate people in china will fix the bugs. Onto another project completely designed to milk the asian market dry like another mobile game.
Stop idolizing Blizzard already. They’re a gaming company like any other. They’re not special.

Isn’t mobile already PRspeak? Every company wants to say they cater to mobile at the moment, that’s where most of the money is. It was a stockholder meeting after all.
US Mobile market is around 10 billion, not as large as China’s (19 billion) but not like the West isn’t also a huge mobile market.
Its true mob games are IN right now, not every1 owns a PC, but we all have phones, and some ppl are lazy to sit on pc’s, so i think Blizzard: Reforged should make new NEW mob game, perhaps they can take ideas from W3 custom games, like TD defense with nostalgia heroes or brand new etc, but make them cheap or free to play.

The talk about mobile games basically just revolved around Call of Duty. Just like the talk about PC and consoles games revolved around Call of Duty. For mobile Blizzard games they mentioned that Diablo Immortal should be hitting beta this year but they didn’t mention much more about it since the game’s announcement was so poorly received and it’s being developed by their Chinese partner.
For better or for worse, Blizzard is racing to get Diablo IV out and they just hired the lead from Gears of War.
On the investor call they also said they planned to do more remastered but once again they were referring to Activision products. For Blizzard they limited their remakes discussion to acknowledging Warcraft III Reforged’s “bad week”.
Not yet! There’s yet to go with the mobile format of strategy game nowadays (often developed somewhere in Asia from Singapore or those parts):
- buy packages, if packages give too much advantage, make them very little advantage, better yet make them gamble - you get random item may be very good (0.000001% chance to get) may be crap (99.999999% chance to get), so make them game pay to lose

This is the most vicious format of mobile games ever and should be BANNED. They let you get stuff and the 1 thing you need, the very little need thing you need, will have to buy. Repeat this for craplaod of items and that’s how you waste more than any Blizz game you’ve paid.
I secretly wish some angry players of such games get their things to sue such mobile companies because the scam and mislead is big, but there needs to be a global ban on such mobile format of games… aka gamble strategy games which isn’t poker or online casino… just some strategy game with gamble and wasted money elements you find out eventually…
