I have placed several tickets all have pointed me to sorry cant help or watch the forums for information. I never bought reforged due to blizzards “soft launch” trends. My Original version of W3 was replaced with a broken version with out warning or choice. I requested a refund for my reign of chaos and frozen throne purchases that was denied. I have now filed a complaint with the BBB do to the violation of my consumer rights.
If you feel blizzard has violated any of your customer rights and not addressed them to your satisfaction you have the option to file a complaint. Any form or retaliation or removal of this topic would be in violation of consumer rights.

The Right to Redress
A customer has the right to voice out any complaints and be heard. They also deserve compensation for misrepresentation, shoddy goods and unsatisfactory public and private services, the unfair practices of the seller, including the right to adequate legal representation. These rights ensure they have access to benefits, a change of the products or services offered, refund of money for faulty products or the free repair of them.

This is a risk you take with any online game. Every update brings the potential of bugs and issues. WoW has changed like 6,000 times, and currently doesn’t look anything like the original.
I’m pretty sure 10 million people don’t get to sue Blizzard for making the game different than it was when they bought it.
Just saying, this is a stupid argument that won’t get you very far. It is the nature of games today that get updated and evolve over time.
My father owns the original cd’s and I bought the keys about 2 years ago so we could play together. I purchased it off bnet no clue what store front he bought the cd’s from.
I think you’re going to find that the BBB is just going to contrast what you said against Bliz’s policies, find it’s acceptable under the circumstances and nothing is going to come of it.
What the BBB will do is send the complaint to Blizz and then send the response to me. I will chose what to do from there.
I didn’t expect a refund I agree that is by far to long ago. But I don’t find it acceptable to replace a product with out any kind of notice or information.
Let’s apply your logic to other business client relations. What if you were evicted from you house? Does it seem like a notice is an important step there? I mean, just like you said, either way they get kicked to the curb, so why does the notice matter? But it does, it’s what makes it legal and shows that the business is doing its due dilligence and not just bullying someone out of their house when they want to. So yeah, the notice matters, even if you don’t get any say in what it’s informing you of.
Stop spreading company lines and misinformation, please. That shoddy emulation of Classic WC3 graphics is NOT in any way, shape, or form, equivalent to running Warcraft 3 Classic and should not be presented as being so.
For one thing Reforged is broken and missing roughly half (I’m being generous) the features Classic had; for another, unlike WC3 Classic (originally, anyway), Reforged is DRM’d to high hell and will disappear into the ether if Blizzard decides not to support it anymore or goes out of business.
“Classic Mode” is just a gameplay mode, not true Classic Warcraft 3.
It would. Other housing options exist so having time to make arrangements would help. My point about WC3 here is there is no option; the old is being replaced by the new. In this case, the notice would provide nothing except upsetting people just the same.
All I said is that access to classic still exists. I didn’t make any claims about its state.
Hence, off solely what I said, there’s no misinformation there. The rest is your opinion on how it looks, which is just that, an opinion.
Your next point on Reforged doesn’t apply to anything I said here. The last line I don’t understand what you mean.
I’ve been able to play Classic just fine so my opinion is that it’s fine. Missing things? Yes, but acceptable in light of Bliz’s plan to roll out the missing features.
And no, it’s not just an “opinion” that “Classic Mode” is not Classic Warcraft 3. It’s a fact.
Are you firing up the original client with all its bells and whistles and lack of Reforged data to play Classic Mode? Do you not have to worry about a 30-day authentication limit to play offline? No?
Again, all I said was that access to Classic exists. Maybe not what you personally wanted as Classic, but access exists none the less.
But if you want to talk about what makes it classic.
The original and Classic both have campaign and its story, multiplayer, custom games and LAN, same units, same spells, same engine. Is everything identical, no, but that doesn’t unilaterally make it some completely different game. Differences, yes, but far, far more similarities than differences. In no way can any rational person conclude that it’s not the Classic game. Whether you believe so or not, the reality is it is Classic Warcraft 3. You not liking its state doesn’t change that.
Opinion, which again is yours, not something you get to extrapolate to everyone.
Without the Reforged features, what’s left is Classic. It changed some, but again, far more similar than different.
Which is fine if it aligns with your opinion. But you and FilthyCasual are still not everyone. You two plus every single person that agree with you is still not everyone.
That would mean that Classic Warcraft hasn’t been classic since the initially released version. Every patch applied would have changed the original. And by your rational, even the smallest change constitutes a different game. Add all the patches over the 17 years and what you had before Reforged wasn’t Classic either, by a huge margin. So how is it you’re upset with Reforged when Bliz stole Classic from you just days after it was released on July 5th, 2002?
