I’m posting this here because despite being a Beta tester, I can’t post to the Beta forums.
Is anyone else having the issue where they open the Reforged beta World Editor from the Blizzard App, but it will only show you the old graphics?
Anasterian Sunstrider and Thalorian Dawnseeker are present in the WE, but they use the Arthas with Frostmourne model and a Captain model, respectively, and those are the ones from the classic game, not Reforged. I’ve seen screenshots of people having the new graphics.
Is my computer just THAT bad that Blizzard decided “nah, if you look at good graphics your entire CPU is going to melt”?
Idk if it would work, but I dont have this issue and I dont have classic Warcraft 3 installed. Maybe the world editor gets confused, try deleting old WC3 if you dont mind ? Then I dont see how it has any choice but to use the reforged ones. Just an idea.

I did delete the old WC3. I’m going to also try restarting and see if that works. If not, I’ll try a full fresh install of Reforged with no Classic on my system.
I also don’t have this problem. Only the Nightelves have the old models obviously.
I have the problem that World Editor boots with the old models instead of new models.
I hope it get fixed at least in the release and users do not face this problem.
More information:
Warcraft 3 classic is installed in my C drive. But I installed Warcraft 3 reforged on a portable hard drive.
I believe if I uninstall everything and install Warcraft 3 reforged, I will not face a problem. However, this problem should be addressed.
Not all models are new, you should launch the editor from the BattleNet app, while having Warcraft III: Reforged Beta Selected in the version droplist. Have you done that?
Yes. I’m 90% certain the issue is with my computer hardware vs the unpublished requirements. Reforged itself won’t let me use the new HD models, and I was recently informed that I don’t have the capability to even play WoW anymore because they have updated the minimum system requirements and I missed the cutoff. I’m trying to decide if I want to install new hardware or go full out and buy a new tower.
that depends on your cpu. if you have a good cpu, upgrading your graphics card will help. you might have to upgrade your power supply though if it is weak. the most expensive piece of hardware is the cpu, meaning that your cpu more or less decides if you should upgrade your pc or buy a new one. i know a lot about that and as such: you should post your current specs.
