I just noticed that I had access to the Beta the entire time hah.
Hard to tell because…zero news about this game for over a year, never got an email or anything about it.
I am honestly not getting a lot of the negativity on these forums, it is still the Beta, graphics improvements can easily be implemented on release.
My only real criticism is the movement of units, after playing SC2 for years, going back to classic WC3 is just so…tedious, the movement feels like all the characters are underwater, the pathing is very outdated and everything just feels so clunky.
I get that this was because they wanted backward compatibility with the original WC3, but will we get an improved movement system implemented? At the very least in the Story and Custom games, and maybe an option for ladder also?
When you guys first teased this you mentioned that pathing and things like that would be reworked, right now all I am seeing is WC3 original; just with better graphics.
I thought this was supposed to be a “reforge” not a “remaster” at least that is how it was sold when I purchased the preorder all those months ago, or am I wrong?
Please keep things civil guys. Plenty of real-world things to rage about out there.
yeah I saw footmen frenzy video, a game i remember liking very much, but it seems so lame now, i guess its just the same old game, the same old skills , when you play stuff like league of legends, which every champions got his skill set and gameplay improved over the years with a lot of thinking put into it, now you go back to those old same skill set and gameplay of Warcraft… its just outdated.
I agree that the pathfinding should get tweaked so that the units dont get stuck all that much and get them to be a bit smarter then in the original ( finding the quickest route to somewhere etc ). But unfortunately many narrowminded people like Grubby are against that at any cost and Blizz follows their feedback. But i am still hopping some improvements will be made even if they are minor ones.
If Grubby likes something you don’t in his entertainament it does not make him narrowminded, it just means he enjoys different things then you.
PS. I would have liked improved pathfinding myself.
Yeah but for pros wc3 pathfinding system is what they spent the last 15 years improving on. It’s like saying football it’s stupid and it would be easier if I could run and keep the ball with my hands all the time. That’s true, but football players wouldn’t really like it uh.
Point taken. But i still think some minor improvements can be made that will not impact the important aspects of core gameplay thats why i said “tweaked” pathfinding not changed completaly.
Seeing “reforged” isn’t really a term that’s generally used when games are updated, it doesn’t intrinsically imply anything about what’s actually being done to the game. “Remastered” on the other hand does mean something.
So, I understood it to simply be a clever Warcraft-esque spin on the word remastered. For one, it fits the general time frame of when the story takes place: medieval period when weapons and building materials were forged in fire. Second, as a way to distinguish the game title from SC Remastered.

Yup, but they wont change the movement since the top .01% of players would be upset. I am no pro, but I have been olaying online for about 8 years and I would love to see better movement.
You people literally compare a 15 year old gold and classic game with the trash that is league of legends? The only reason league survived is because it went full weeb.
