Ashenvale made purple?

Hi,

I’ve just seen in a french interview (https:// www.millenium. org/news/350175.html) that Ashenvale would be more WoW inspired, with purple colors instead of green.

As far as I remember, purple trees in War3 lore were sign of demonic corruption. For example, all versions of Night Elves’ ancients in purple version for Satyr race were called ‘corrupted’ / ‘fel’.

Then for me, the WoW Ashenvale purple color was due to corruption from Archimonde’s failed invasion. And then, it shouldn’t be purple in first-mid moments of the campaign. That would be retconning the story.

What do you think ?

Well, it looks pretty, saw the trees in the world editor, there are two types of ashenvale trees, big purple ones and smaller green ones. And honestly they are really nice, i can’t wait to see them in game.
While i never associated the purple color with the corruption you do make a point however about the corrupted ancients using purplish colors for their leaves.
To be honest i’m quite satisfied with this choice, as it seems to be visually pleasing, but i see your point.
