I rate WC3’s single player campaign as one of my top 5 games.
I was thinking of buying reforged because I wanted to replay the campaign on hard.
I’m hearing some of the campaign missions are nerfed or broken? Any additional info on the state of the campaign?

I am enjoying it, classic version seems quite easier but TFT is really hard!
RoC campaign have now TFT mechanic (upkeep to 50 instead of 40, orbs give air attack, runes in the game). The 3 reforged maps (Stratholme, Silvermoon and siege of Dalaran) are more easy and no challenging.
They clearly make all the maps easier even on hard. I rush it to the end in one round.

In Reforged, the RoC portion runs as if it was TFT (balance, costs, etc). This causes it to be far, far easier then it used to be.

The campaign is essentially the same. Of course, with the updated graphics. There are some reports though about bugs. Some are very minor, like some random item not working properly, some are just funky; like cinematics missing animations or animations doing some random actions they are not suppose to do. Others are pretty obnoxious, such as invisible units or kicking you back to the defeat screen (although the latter appears to be fixed; according to patch notes).
Some maps and missions have been adjusted a bit. The map layout is different and some aspects have been changed. But the story line and overall development of the characters remains unchanged.
Furthermore, some changes to character lines exist, though voicefiles seem to be original ones as of the latest patch. Release version had badly edited voicefiles in some places, even in the original campaign. Mainly revolving around Grom’s name being replaced with his surname or his full name, Grommash. Not sure if same applies with Malfurion being originally named Furion. Unsure if the Reforged campaign still has the edited voicefiles (Which sound as if they were done in 5 minutes using Audacity)
What I found weird with that is, in the Classic campaign at least, the subtitles all say “Grommash” but all the voicing says “Hellscream”… at the same time.
Exactly! There’s no cohesion! I’m actually somewhat convinced these changes were made in advance but because of all the hullabaloo going on and the eventual lack of any actual substantial changes being made the devs practically forget everything they did to date.
The audacity stuff I mentioned was maybe just a placeholder till they had their new voice actors come in and record new lines (Which never happened).
The campaign is pretty much the same except for like 2 levels. Not as advertised sadly.
It is a reskin, and the RoC campaign is normalized with TFT. This wouldn’t be a problem if there was someone to actually test it. RoC is very easy with the additional food and armor changes …

It is remarkably easier and good there are bugs in the dialogues that are easy to notice.
Only…three…reforged…maps!!!
I was on the fence, but this is a definitely a no-no for me. I’ll wait until on sale.

It is the exact same but much easier. Enemy bases are easily destroyable in some missions where in the classic they were not (Stratholm for example). Enemy heroes are not so prominent (March of the Scourge for example). You allies in some missions are much more powerful (By demons be driven for example).
And its just generally much much easier.
But overall its nearly identical, a few changes on a very few maps, mostly to retcon them to fit WoW.
I also think the potions stack, i cant remember it in roc or tft. every potion (mana/health) needed an itemslot.
The Dungeons of Dalaran mission also has a new layout that’s enjoyable.
-items with charge are stackable
-ennemies have 80% of their health instead of 100% in classic
M6 HU, M5 M7 UD are different, the rest is pretty much the same in RoC
see by yourself:
Dalaran and Silvermoon cities also were designed very poor in terms of placing doodads and terrain.
