Any one else experiencing HEAVY fps drops when moving the camera view or building something?

In the beginning when I move the camera or build something (or even entering the building menu) there are only mini-freezes for about half a second, which is already annoying though still playable. But as soon as I move the camera or click on the mini map in the early midgame (when fights with around 30 supply happening), I have freezes which are always around 2-3 seconds long, which is completely unplayable on a competitive level. What options do I need to select so this is removed?
I have a 144hz monitor, so when I try to play on any other fps cap different than that, the games won’t start after loading. With the 144hz option it works and I also have constant 144fps as long as I don’t move the camera around.
Playing around with the graphics (high -> low, Vsync off etc.) doesn’t lead to anything.
Specs are: 3700X, 5700 XT, 16GB DDR-3600, M.2 SSD

the game is locked at 50 hz and can not save anything else. i keep setting it at 144 hz but it goes straight back to 50 hz. 4k however is locked at 30 hz. the game lags a lot however even on i7-8700k and rtx 2080 ti.

Its laggy for a first 10-30 seconds after loading into the game. Idk why.

Well, for me the 144hz will be saved until I exit the program (after restarting it, it’s back to 50hz). After setting the resolution to 144hz it is also definitely applied for me for the menu as well as ingame (I’m able to subjective see/feel it when moving the cursor for example and also the fps indication shows 144fps as long as I don’t move).

I see that it’s laggy for most people (e.g. Grubby also experiences these minor fps drops all the time), but the HEAVY fps drops aren’t there for him… but yeah, if there’s nothing you can do, we just need to wait for further “optimization”.

it is lags for the first 30 seconds, it means that your harddrive is slow. it takes too long to load data, causing lag. i experienced the same problem in starcraft 2 on my toshiba until i transferred the game to a faster harddrive.

the game has too many fps drops, it’s playable, sure, but it’s very annoying that every time you select a new building to build the game mini-freezes.
but optimization is the last thing they’ll look at, sadly.

they will likely try to optimise it in the next patch.

I got this issue! HUGE fps drops when moving the camera.
Glad im not alone.
Looks like only amd users are experiencing this problem.
